Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Rumour for the return of something in the second half of the series

I don't normally like to share spoilers about what will happen in upcoming episodes. It drives me mad when people spoil things without warning but I accidentally read this rumour on imbd but I do not want to spoil anything for someone who does not want it spoiled but if it's true I'm pretty excited.

Please remember this is just a rumour I saw on imbd two minutes ago. Forgive me if it's wrong or has already been confirmed to be untrue.

    It's a minor character.

Who has only been in one story.

    Who was awesome.

    In Family of Blood.

    It's Son of Mine.

    Link.

Interesting. It crossed my mind that one of them might show up during the "collecting on old debts" scene from last week's episode.

    I loved that two-parter, though.

That's enough reason right there to dismiss the rumour tbh - IMDB is a good source of baseless rumour really, wouldn't pay too much attention to it!

    Can I do it please?

    Ahem...

"I'll believe it when I see some form of confirmation from the BBC".

Aaaaah, haven't done that in ages.

apparently, Rory getting killed a lot and coming back and living for ages is not co-incidental and has some plot function for the end of the season.

as usual, fandom (not like us you understand, we are normal) has gone a bit bat**** mental over the fact that the BBC has "only" announced that Matt Smith will return in 2012, as if that means that Karen Gillan (last seen wandering naked and drunk around a NY hotel apparently) and Arthur Darvil aint going to be in it. Anyway, for the purposes of this post, lets pretend it was true, because it give me the excuse to imagien how I would end this year, and re-boot the Daleks as real villans who do, you know, score the odd victory.

Last ep, I'd have the Daleks kill Rory and Amy. For added measure I would have the Daleks kill River too, only for her to discover she can regenerate. This sends River (maybe Spring as she will be little) Song into a bit of a decline and a fetish for wearing spacesuits, which leads us back to the start of the Impossible Astronaut. It may also ground some major daddy issues, just for light relief, vis-a-vis her and the Doctor.

As for the Daleks, I'd just have them sauntering off, laughing.

This is probably why I shouldnt write Doctor Who.
