Wouldn't mind going to this but only if I can get a standing ticket. Any idea if they will release any more? I've been searching several times each day with no luck.

    Tickets arrived yesterday, Boom.

Anyone else go to see these guys? I went to see them last night in the Olympia, great concert. They said they will be releasing a new album next year and are coming back then and mentioned doing two gigs.

The Olympia is a great place to see gigs, I don't know why I like it so much but I do :)

The show was amazing, their version of street spirit was fantastic

Loved the gig from start to finish . I was glad that there was not pit so you could move around and have a decent view instead of being stuck behind the pit barriers. The new songs sound good aswell and extremely happy they played Christmas Time :D:D

There was a pit though - it was wristband access only and only given to 150 people. He was carried around it when he got on the security guy's shoulders at the end of the last song!

Anyway, here's some photos of it

    Really?

I was about 3 feet away from him when they were carrying him around and I had no wristband of any description. I didn't see any on anyone else or anyone checking either.

    You got lucky then! :)

There were at least 5 security guards checking bands. The first guy who crowdsurfed was at them all night to let him in and he didn't have one - he nearly got a hiding for not letting it go.

It's the same in every gig in the Olympia. First 150 people there get the band and can get up front no questions asked.

Yea same , was i just inline with where the pit "usually" starts and there was none . People were walking in and out all night it made it a lot better . It was'nt as squashy as it usually is

I suppose its impossible to get into one of those private boxes without some sort of VIP pass?

  • Registered Users Posts: 315 ✭✭Lpfsox

saw some of the lads from Dead Cat Bounce in one of the boxes.

It was a fantastic gig, better even than their gig in the Point a few years back. Can't wait for their next tour (as promised!!)

The pit was further in, it's very narrow in the Olympia.

Great gig, they're well and truly back. Crowd was great too. I agree with the poster who said it was better than the Point gig in 2006, but then that gig was a large bust (ho ho ho!)
