Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sounds like an issue with video codecs.. Try a quick test, download VLC (which includes a load of required codecs) from VLC Download and see if the AVI will play with it..

There is also a program called GSpot which will help you to identify which codec you actually need..

I take it it's one of the Iomega Screenplay Media drives that are very popular.
You could try the latest firmware updates from their site.
It may be a known issue with some codecs.

    Hi

It sounds to me like the problem is with the codec used on the video file you are trying to play.

Iomega use some standard codecs on their media drives which are listed here

If you wish to have these files play on the screenplay device, my suggestion would be to get hold of a 3rd party software solution and convert the file to one which is supported by the screenplay device.

Unfortunately I cannot comment on what would be a good piece of software to use as I don't have much experience in that area. I am sure someone on here can recommend a good divx encoder.

    :)
