Just recieved a newsletter from Digiweb explaining the difference between download speed and connection speed.
They don't even read their own newsletters or they wouldn't have let this slip by.

    Connection Speed

Your connection speed is the speed your modem or router is connecting at. It can be affected by many factors, such as:
    • the distance you are from your local telephone exchange
    • the network you’re on
    • the quality of your internal wiring at your house; and
    • the distance you are from your local telephone exchange

    Download speed

Download speed refers to the speed at which you can download files. It’s influenced by similar factors as your connection speed, along with other elements such as:
    • the distance you are from your local telephone exchange
    • the network you’re on
    • the quality of your internal wiring at your house; and
    • the distance you are from your local telephone exchange

That's pretty embarrassing. There's some boards posters who work for Digiweb, perhaps they should highlight this nonsense especially if it's being inflicted on customers.
