Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Saw this today was €80.

    Is it any good?
No mention of the Irish channels on the box.
    Dont know if worth it.

Wonder if any one got it or feedback comment welcome.
    Thanks in advance.

It won't have the Irish channels on it if it's a SD satellite kit.
In fact you can only get the Irish channels on satellite via Sky and a monthly sub, or Saorsat with a HD receiver and a Ka lnb, and they are not available yet (the Ka lnb's that is).
So no, no good for Irish channels at all.

If its one of those ROSS satellite systems stay clear, rubbish dishes, break and rot easily. The boxes are slow at changing channels but do have a nice Epg, they are no good for saorview or saorsat to be launched next yr.

The boxes are poorly made with cheap capacitors in the psu, I have 3 or 4 of them blown already, and despite warning people not to buy them they persist.

The HD version of the Ross box should function normally with Saorsat - it is fully DVB-S2 - i have personally used this box for some time and found it to be perfectly reasonable!

If you held onto the dish til the snow came it would make a nice toboggan, until then maybe if you've cats you could use it as a milk-saucer.
I've heard of a good few of these Ross boxes giving up the ghost, that's grand once you're under warranty, DS should replace them.
