Best phrase I have- "Du bist ein Glückspilz!", translates literally into you are a lucky mushroom. Same way we might say "You lucky bugger" or something. I've never done a letter in which it didn't come in handy :D

I should really get down to the study for German...
Apparently adjectival endings are tipped? Madness.

We were handed notes on racism and immigration and were given very knowing looks about how oh perhaps these might be useful. Who knows...!
You never know with that German department though.

    Good input, man! :pac:

I love the lucky mushroom thing, it's like the French phrase 'Mon petit chou' - My little cabbage.

    OR

'Das Leben ist wie ein Kinderhemd--kurz und beschissen' - Life is like a child's shirt--short and crappy.

Thought I'd stick in an SEC-esque choice there.:cool:

I just got some new Deutsch Redewendungen.. :D

Mein jungerer Bruder benimmt sich wie ein Elefant im Porzellanladen
My younger brother behaves like a bull in a china shop

    Das ist nicht mein Fall
That is not my cup of tea

Das geht mir auf die Nerven
    That gets on my nerves

    Wenn ich mich recht erinnere....
If my memory serves me right...

Je harter man arbeitet, desto besser wird man.
The harder you work the better you become

I learned them all and i'm gonna try and include them into my letter.. :D

    Haha, no worries ;)

A kind of similar one that you could use instead is "Das Leben ist kein Honiglecken"

Means literally "Life is no lick of honey." Basically, life's tough! :D

    What a beautiful paper.

From the 2 really interesting and do-able texts, the scarily easy grammar and facebook on the tape. Lovely I thought. Letter was nice, and ausserung (b) was grand!

    I'm proud of myself :p

Hell yes that was a nice exam. Kind of weird though, when I was a kid my dream actually was to work in that miniatur wunderland place in Germany, which is why I really got into German when it started in Primary school! To be asked why I would want to work there as an außerung in my leaving is just eery.
