Change to venue for Sunday's race 12/06/2011

    Unfortunately we are going to have to change the venue for the race on Sunday.
    Can you post this on the Marathon Website and send it on to those on
    your email list?

    When we originally planned our annual ranking race we envisaged a
    warm, balmy June morning racing on calm waters in the City centre.
    Who would have thought that it would be so wet, cold and windy?
    Unfortunately the forecast for Sunday is for very strong easterly
    winds which would make the proposed course on the quays dangerous.
    As safety is always the first consideration, we have decided to move
    the race back to Leixlip Lake. *Entries close at 11:30 with racing
    starting at 12:00 (an hour later than advertised). *Classes and other
    details remain the same.
    A new notice will be issued soon.
    Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
