    I'm in Louth and craving for some water. Blackwater (Armagh) Bann (Banbridge) and even the Boyne are scrapy scrapy...

    Anybody know of local rivers running ?

    Check liffey release web site, should be a link on Irish freestyle, Don't think you're gona get any water until October / November. Unless of course we have another summer flooding...

    The liffy only releases when the dam is full and the resevoir is topped up, neither is so the releases are few and far between.

    Now, believe it or not we ran the Glenmacnass yesterday after getting off the Avonmore from Trooperstown which was scrapey enough and Jacksons was low but runnable. We were walking back to Lynams when the Glenmacnass turned on like a tap and we went up and did the lower part my first time on a grade 4 river and can't remember any of it :D
