Sky+ tuner stuck!

Weird one this.

I can no longer record something on Sky+ and watch another channel. When something is recording trying to view any other channel (anything, Sky+, radio or Other Channels) results in a glitchy bouncing flashing screen and no sound or picture. Yet according to the signal test both tuners are working fine, and the Sky music is still playing while stuff is recording. IIRC that music is "piped in" and not in software, because in the event of Sky going down the music is lost. So it seems that Tuner 1 is "stuck" and is permanently locked to the Sky Musak Channel :mad:

Tried resetting the LNBs in Health Check and several reboots with no success. Is there any other way to reset/reinstall the software without formatting the HDD? Don't want to lose the recordings still on Planner just yet!

Disconect power supply from the Box. Press and hold the back up button on the Sky box (not the remote control). At the same time reconect power supply, keep the backup button pressed until a message appears on screen.
this will force an update , might not fix the problem though. But wont affect your recordings.

It randomly started working again

Not a good sign anyway, software can be fixed but if its coming and going regardless then its likely a dying tuner
