Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is there any reason I should pay nearly €200 for 500ml ivomec injection compared to €33 for Bimectin. I'm told the active ingredient is the same.

    Same active ingredient - Ivermectin.
Check the dosage rates though, they may differ, in that a 500ml of one type may do more animals than the other.

I've been using the Noromectin pour-on for years - same story, Ivermectin is the active ingredient also.

Jack you're just paying for the name, the cattle won't notice any difference! It will still sting the same:eek:

The cheap stuff does the same thing,
just because its cheap it shouldn't replace good grass management which has a larger impact on cattle health than any amount of that stuff ;)
