Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Lads I just watched a video on adding non freesat channels to this box and the upshot of doing this according to the video is that it completely messes up the EPG. Is that correct? And what exactly is the non freesat mode for on this box???

Non freesat mode is simply a additional channel list which include all channels inclusive the channels which are not part of freesat or not part of your choosen post code. You can switch between freesat channel list and non freesat channel list.
Nobody maintain the non freesat channel list but yourself. The scan simply add the channels in the sequence they are found to the list. You can delete and move channels. For instance you can move sky news to positon 1. If you want to watch sky news you switch to non freesat mode and if you want to watch freesat channels you switch back to freesat mode.

So what you're saying is Freesat mode = default EPG and Non Freesat Mode = messed up EPG...right?

Non freesat give you a channel list like you would get in an FTA sat box. everything is in a jumble and you have to put some order to it. The thing is that freesat EPG is doing that for you in freesat mode (for most of the channels you need).

There are a few more channels you may want which are not on freesat and that is the point of non-freesat mode. To view these other channels use the non-freesat mode

The best thing to do with non-freesat mode is delete everything apart from the few non-freesat channels that you will really need. Sky news and a few music channels is all that are really worth keeping in non freesat mode.

Then put the few that are left in some kind of logical order. Sky News is probably the most popular non-freesat channel so make that the first channel in the non-freesat list.

Thanx for the info. So the Freesat mode EPG is unchanged then (ie...it still has 7 day EPG etc.) and the non Freesat mode only has now and next...right? In other words..if I actually did add the non Freesat channels it won't ruin the EPG in Freesat mode like the video hinted at?!

Yep. Fire away, tune in the other channels in non-Freesat mode and it it'll have no ill effects on your regular Freesat.

HUMAX Foxsat HDR - seems to have lost the option to switch between Freesat and Non-freesat modes in the settings? was there an S/W update which changed this recently?

It shouldn't be as there have been no software updates on the Foxsat for a number of years at this stage.

One thing it may be however is that if you have something currently recording or are watching something in timeshift, the option to switch between the two modes is inactive in the menu.

The problem is that if you switch to Non-Freesat mode it doesn't do Freesat recordings. It can only be in one mode at a time.

I never found a workaround to get it to switch back automatically after a non-Freesat recording on if you left it on a non-Freesat channel.

You can add non-Freesat channels to the Freesat EPG using the web interface but the above still applies.

Only shows now/next on SaorSat / TivuSat and only picked up the Tivusat cam every third reboot or thereabouts.
