    Hi,

I was trying to add some detail for Monagahan Town in Openstreetmap (OSM). Openstreetmap is a free wiki-like map of the world.

The Monaghan town map is far complete but thought I'd fill in some detail while I was up there.
    http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=54.24731&lon=-6.96946&zoom=17&layers=M

(If you want to see what can be achieved have a look at Wexford Town http://osm.org/go/es48fQdG-- or LetterKenny http://osm.org/go/etwuvyqW-- )

Anyway I'm confused about Market Road. There is a sign at Park Street / Market Road junction clearly signing Market Road. I din't see any street signs for Broad Road.

However, if I google business addresses along Market Road they all give their address as Broad Road. Was Market Road (or a stretch of it) renamed to Broad Road. Is Broad Road just a local unofficial name? Is there a street sign clearly showing Broad Road?

My local contact never heard of Market Road but said it was Broad Road. Market Road appears in old OSI maps and the only street sign I saw was for Market Road.

As an aside - mapping Monaghan town might make an interesting IT/Geography related transition year or gaisce project. I beileve someone once mapped Clonmel as a transition year project.

    Thanks..
