    Sassy58 how would TNR work in ecologically sensitive areas? (just thinking of places where they are trying to get bird numbers up like the corncrake)

    On Tory Island they humanely euthanised all the feral cats because of the negative impact they have on corncrakes. In this situation extermination is more favorable than TNR. It is possible to exterminate all the problem cats.

    On mainland areas where extermination of feral population is sometimes not possible, TNR works well because it keeps the feral population at a managable level.
