    New Organic Agriculture Course
    Carlow IFE is now offering a one year programme in Organic Agriculture. The programme is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge required to set up an organic enterprise or to acquire a career in the organic industry.
    On successful completion candidates will receive a FETAC level 5 certificate in Organic Agriculture. This course should be of great benefit to students wishing to study agriculture as over 200 students were unable to obtain places in Agricultural Colleges last year and Colleges already surpassed their allocated student allocations for this year. Students from this course may progress onto Agricultural Science In Waterford Institute of Technology or Agriculture and Environmental Management at Mountbellew or Rural Enterprise and Agribusiness at Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology.
    Carlow IFE is also providing a very popular programme in Gardening and Landscaping, which is also at FETAC level 5. Students from this programme have gone on and set up their own business in the horticulture industry, or found work in garden centres or further study, in places such as Botanic Gardens and Blanchardstown IT. Limited places are available and tend to be popular with mature students and school leavers.
