Discreet Satellite Dish pointed to 13E

    Hiya,

I made a decision to buy a satellite dish to be pointed to 13E to receive Sky Italy. This because I will be getting subscription in Italy but bringing the digibox in Dublin. I live in D2 apartment and I am not allowed to install a dish on the balcony, there is a shared Sky dish on the roof.

I've been browsing the web to find a discreet dish shape that may pass "unnoticed" and found this http://www.satellitetv.ie/shop/index.php?controller=product&path=20&product_id=265. Anyone did try it ?

Kind of interesting they are stating "Only 47.5cm in size, but delivers the performance of a 70cm dish". I am no expert, so any advise is really appreciated.

    cheers
    andy

Clever marketing/lies. You'll be lucky if it behaves likes a 47cm dish.

You can sometimes get away with putting a satellite dish on the balcony if is' facing reasonably south-ish - but put it upside down - that way it lies nearly horizontal and cannot usually be seen from below. Takes up some space on your balcony though.

It's pretty easy to set one up on a balcony and it won't be noticed. Here's an ingenious install.
