A new addition to the stable. This shall be the winter steed, until the other winter steed is built.
Aluminium Wilier Triestina, built up with a full Ultegra groupset which was mostly assembled from the adverts sub-forum.

Another winter steed, built up so that I had something that can take proper mudguards but it turned out quite well so it almost feels a shame to put them on now. Anyway, I promised Dermot Illogical that I would post a pic before mudguards so here it is.

    Genesis_Small_zpsd8026494.jpg

Most of the stuff has come off my other bike, long-drop brake calipers & chainset/bb were the main new items bought specially for this. Weight via the bathroom scales seems to be about 9.5 +/- 0.25 kg so not too bad for steel.

New winter bike. Still messing about with position. Mudguards going on later this week.

Got a chance to give some tlc at the weekend.

Rose Pro. 105 Group and Aksium wheels. Nearing 5k kms so looking to replace brake pads and tyres. Keeping an eye on chain too but no shifting issues at the moment. Eyeing up some Ksyrium Elites and maybe some Keos. Other then that its a great bike for my 25k commute. Best of all, it was 900 euro :)

    11211_10151792585068097_1276358301_n.jpg

Nukeproof Mega Pro. Got this earlier in the year from CRC and near 50% off. Top spec with full Sram XO kit, 160m Lyrics, tubeless mavic rims, 1*10 setup, Reverb seat post. Its has to be one of the best out of the box bike packages. Would like a different rear shock but not too fussed. Next year Ill be getting some longer and flatter bars but think that will be it.

There is a Canyon 29er hardtail in the fleet but it was too grubby to be worthy of a pic. Maybe another time :) Currently embracing the road more in the off season and after a crash but gonna hop back on the Nukeproof soon for some offroad riding.

Picked this bad boy up over the weekend for 400 beans after a bit of haggling...2012 caadx tiagra with roughly 20kms of use...bosh!

Going to pick up some spd pedals and shoes, and some cx tyres and have a crack at cx!

Finally got around to putting the new MTB together. Still need to road test and tweak it. I've been collecting parts since January in various sales and clearance lines. Be surprised if it cost me more than €500, though I did reuse the wheels, chainset and mechs from the old bike. So there's a €350/€400 saving straight up.

    Bring on the snow.

...still, at least the Stem is the right way round on the new bike! :p
Might have to take a hacksaw to trim it though!

Winter/turbo bike is a Specialized Allez, bought in 2012 2nd hand. Nice bike, I changed the wheels on it, but left the original on the back for the turbo.

The carbon bike is a 9 year old Merida. I am the 3rd owner, know the other 2.
Had to change the wheels to the Ksyrium Elite last year, own it nearly 3 now.
Needs some TLC but I find it a lovely bike and its as light as many carbons I have tried. I have put around 7,000 km's on it.
MAY sell it next year if I can get back on the road and move to a newer bike.

    Scott CR1 with Ultegra/105 mix.
I removed the white bar tape & saddle and fitted my own Romin.
Purchased without wheels, the Ksyrium SLs are also my own.
I put 75km on it today and it's got a nice mix of speed and comfort.
The damping system does seem to make a difference.

Made some changes to the CR1 I bought about a month ago.
    New 105 groupset.
New syncros saddle & carbon seatpost.
Also fitted latex tubes out of curiousity, haven't used them before.

Qualified for c2w last week so picked up a road bike. I've made do with a cyclocross bike for commuting and road training for the last few months and thought I was at no disadvantage...but in hindsight a cyclocross bike does not make a good road bike!

Picked up a Madone 2.1, ideal at £1000 on the nose, with 105 shifters and mechs.

Here it is when I picked it up...

    IMG_20140418_112110_zpsndpudqo8.jpg

Swapped on a fancy longer stem I had lying around and chopped the excess steerer, and got rid of all the silly stickers...

    IMG_20140419_121428_zps08h3dzms.jpg

Absolutely loving it so far, not the lightest bike I've ever owned, but I've never been so comfortable on a bike before this.

Biggest let down was the absolute w4nk gearing, 12-30 and 50/34. Stuck a spare ultegra 11-28 cassette I had lying around on instead of the tiagra 12-30. Have an ultegra double chainset to fit as well when I get around to it.

Finally looking decent'ish. Few bits I want to upgrade and the LBS forgot to chop the tube..something for them to do next time!
