Early Primary Teaching Resource Websites

I was wondering if there are any parents, primary school teachers, pre-school leaders or classroom assistants on boards who could recommend some websites that have educational, early learning activities, printables, art and craft projects etc.

My five year old is due to start primary school in September and I would really like to do some educational and fun activities with her for an hour or two everyday that will help prepare her for Junior Infants. She has been attending Pre-school all along and they have done fantastic work but I'd like to continue it on if I could.

I have been using the "K-3 Teacher Resources website" for the last two years and it is good but I'd like to see what else is out there.

+1,000 for starfall.com, it's the best site I've come across. It's completely free which is amazing considering the content and user friendliness. There's a sister site with more content, plus Maths, but you have to pay a subscription of $35 for the year. It's well worth paying for - www.morestarfall.com

ictgames.co.uk is also good.

dolch words are the words we use most often in reading. Many cannot be "sounded out" say a child sees cat. Breaks it down by sounding out c-a-t, you get "cat". Words like could cannot be sounded out and have to be learned as "sight words"

Www.topmarks.co.uk has lovely games. And if you want some games for quite young children just google fisher price online games sorry can't post the link.
