Transferring a domain that expires soon

    I want to move my hosting to Blacknight and transfer a domain that's expiring at the end of the month.

    If I unlock and transfer the domain now, what happens upon renewal time? Will Blacknight invoice me automatically?

    Hi there,

    If the domain is a .com/net/biz/org/info it will renew for 1 year after you place the transfer order online.

    So it will come up for renewal this time next year.

    Thanks Niamh. My exiting host isn't in a hurry to give me the auth codes for my domains but I'll make the switch as soon as I can.
