Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The French have been pretty constant in that department too in fairness.

    Benzema should have scored.

Yes France fouling just as much now - game very disjointed

I thought it might have been offside too after the first save, he certainly celebrated like it was his anyways.

Yeah I am trying to jinx it, all night I have been hoping for 3-0 to France then for Ukraine to get a late bundled hand ball goal.

extra time if it finishes 3 - 1. if it stays that way then Ukraine go though

Think Sakho kneed it in alright. Difficult to see even with the replays!
    Cmon Ukraine FFS!!!

Sensible move to take Debuchy off. On a yellow card and in danger of making it worse

Hold please France, much prefer to see them at the finals over Ukraine

Away goals not count? Ukraine won first leg 2-0

Edit: So they play extra time and then away goals count, got it.

Anyway, that's some uphill battle now for them, but I have the strange feeling, they will turn the match around on Tuesday :(

This France performance was fantastic, a complete turn around from the first leg.

Sakho is an absolute beast as well.

    19th November
Algeria 1 V 0 Burkina Faso (Agg 3-3) On BT Sport @ 6:15pm Algeria in WC

Watched that earlier, about as entertaining as watching grass grow. One side (Burkina Faso) timewasted for over an hour(21 minute half time break) conceeded & got a taste of their own medicine.

should there be an 8th seeded team - you've only 7 in bold there.

Thanks for that list btw, informative thread.

Spain I reckon would be the other seed, useful enough crew, potential darkhorse.

They walked through their group and have a very good side with a lot of talented players.

Could well cause a surprise or two.

Doesn't look to be a poor side in the list so it could be a very solid World Cup. That said, one of the things I enjoy about the World Cup is cheering on that far flung, ill equipped side who make it through some mad one-off stroke of fortune, like Mongolia, the Solomon Islands or Tajikistan.

Credit to them for taking care of business in their group, but it was quite weak all the same. Norway, Iceland, Slovenia, Albania and Cyprus is a modest enough group.

I think the other 31 teams will be hoping they land in the same group as them.

No Paraguay this time. Not sure they'll be missed.
