Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

see the 3 attached images. i was watching a video one day and started getting lines like this across the screen. then the screen froze and now every time i load it's like the images.

i've tried reseating the graphics card, checked all the internal cables and the monitor cables.

    any ideas?

    thanks

Check for local sources of electromagnetic interference.

i cant do anything with drivers because the screen goes blank and the monitor appears to lose the connection or something after that windows xp screen. the monitor acts as though its turned on but not connected to anything.

    cpu - amd64 3500+
    graphics - gainward geforce 6800gt 256mb ddr3

I think your video card is gone... can you borrow one to test in your system or vice versa?

Saw the same once on a similar system, getting problems like that on power up means it is a hardware issue.

Given that its an Athlon64 its probably an AGP system? Either way you should be able to pickup a pretty good replacement card for under €100, even less if you're not a gamer. I picked up a nice PCI-E 5450HD for €60 in PC World.

Also since its summer now, have you checked the fan on the video card for fluff or anything that might be blocking the air ducts on the video card?

nothing in my pc environment has changed that might be causing some interference.
