we're a few flat-broke families looking to chip in together towards buying maybe 2 sit-on-tops -one a double seater anyway - for use only on local shallow tidal lake and one or two local not-too-tidal bays. we want something for kids to enjoy-age 5 to 10 ... we know to be very wary of water
however i need to be able to lift them onto a car myself- so 20 ish kg is prob as much as i could manage ?
i want to know if we should aim to get one with a rudder? what brands tend not to crack in frost/ on little impacts? what can anyone reccommend and has anyone second hand ones for sale/ for rent-south dub/east wicklow?-i'll pop you message thru boards if you have

last year i'd come across some new single seaters for 220-wondering why these are cheaper than what i'm seeing on websites-wondering would they be strong enough to take impact
ANY advice at all is appreciated- it'll all serve to guide us along. cheers

    I wouldn't worry about a rudder - not necessary.

All modern sit on tops are built from solid, durable plastic nowadays, so any new brand you get in an outdoor shop should be fine and tough.

If you DM me a link for whatever you're looking at I'll take a look at it for you if that helps.
