I wrote WAY too much for them all... 200,145,158,161

Same. Think I wrote 240 for the first one and over 150 for the other two. Hope we won't get marked down!

I didn't count, but I pretty much filled out all the space they gave to me, and everything looked grammar-correct so hoping for good marks :)

You do. But there's so much time in that exam you might as well do an extra one tbh.

Right, lets clear this up once and for all. . .

This is the paragraph 3 from comprehension 2. . .I have highlighted the plusque-parfaits in bold black, and the imparfaits in bold red that I see. . .feel free to correct me, but this is how I see it. . .

Guys, when trying to work out what a preposition is, think about the make-up of the word: 'pre-' and 'position'. So it's a word that typically comes before a noun and indicates the position of something. Doesn't cover every single instance of prepositional use, but it's a handy rule of thumb!:D

Thanks! I only need to go back in time 12 hours now :P

I thought the amount of words was really important? I lost soooo many mocks for my mock because I had over 200 for the 1st and over 150 for the rest. I didn't go over 120 today because of it.

I'm getting seriously worried when I see the amount people wrote for the written questions  Do you not have to stick to their limit of 90/75 mots, that's what my teacher always told me!!

Yep, sorry, I know it's being smart after the event, but consider it part of lifelong learning:)

Well think of it this way - the more you write the more opportunity you have of being wrong and losing marks :p

I filled all the space given for all 3 opinion questions. I hope I don't get docked. For the two 75 word questions I probably wrote 200 words

Yeah, I filled out the space too. Made extra sure I tried to keep everything as relevant and correct as possible. Still though, short answers are in with as much of a chance of an A as longer ones :)

Seriously why would you tell us this after the exam? ( I got the right answer BTW)

Exactly. As soon as I finished the comprehensions, I asked for paper and wrote my pieces on that, fixed the grammar and then copied them in to the answer book.

French is the most generously timed exam. Or at least up there with biology

Yeah I think I wrote at least 110 for every question

I wrote like 200 words for each of my written answers  But I did the same in my pre and still got an A1 so hopefully they won't take marks off those who went that extra mile regarding length.... :D

    @electrictrad, re. plus-que-parfait:

Était déjà plongée and était classés are NOT examples of the plus-que-parfait. Neither plonger nor classer is conjugated with être. These are both examples of the past participle being used as an adjective, as in the English 'was plunged' as opposed to 'had plunged' ;)

I was really happy with the paper! Comprehensions were easy and the opinion questions were brilliant:) The cumpulsory question Q1a I struggled to come up with ideas so I just talked about having my own job and having freedom in college blah blah but i thought it was a wee bit hard to expand:) listening was a bit dodgy for me but its always been my weak point. My oral went brilliant so I'm hoping I can get a B2/B3 in the overall mark if i just skim a pass in the aural:)
