Hello,

This is a request to the admins/devs working on the boards mobile platform, can you please set an option to allow images to either be shown or not shown on the mobile version? I don't care about the extra data being used I'd be happy with a simple style property being set to 75% width ( on the original image )so I can see them without clicking the link.

Or a new sub domain like mwi.boards.ie which always allows them.

    Thanks! :)

As far as I would imagine, not many people would be ok with the extra data charges. That's why it just comes up as "IMAGE" I do get what you mean though and sometimes I'd like that too because it's a pain in the ass clicking the image to download it, then it turns out to be crap. But it'd be more hassle than it's worth.

That why I think there should be an option in user CP that defaults to not displaying them, Or just a different subdomain that displays them.

I'm sure it wouldn't be overly easy to implement a new option in the User CP which is why a different domain like "mwi.boards.ie" (Mobile with images) would be very easy to implement as their currents mobile site puts them in tags, All the mwi would need to do is change it to :)

this may be a stupid question, but why not use the standard site?

When you're using your mobile it takes aaaaaaaaaaaaagggggggggeeeeeeeeeeees to load all the data. That's why they have m.boards.ie. It's just the bare basics of the site. Just text basically. It's my saviour.

I use an iPhone and although it's easier to navigate around the page, I much rather have the text size being big and the width of the page fitted to the screen size, Where as the normal boards size, The text is too small and when you zoom in to view the text you have to scroll from left to right to read the text.

Plus as Fago! said it's very slow to load.

yeah I understand that, but the OP wants to be able to view threads with images displaying. This is the standard version, unless there is something else I'm missing.

No like there's standard version with everything, and then mobile, with nothing. he's asking if there's (or if there could be) like an alternative mobile site for boards that shows pics. Which would be nice. Pity there's nothing in the user cp that allows that. :(

It's a good request Ricky but I'd imagine the admins/dev guys have enough on their plates. Sure request it in the mobile boards thread in the site dev forum. No harm in asking there :)

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
