    Kildare County Show is on this weekend in Athy. Sunday 19th. Always is a good family day out and well worth a trip.

    Given that Kildare is the 'horse county', why are there no horses any more? (miniature horses don't count, btw!)

    Horses can be seen left right & centre around Kildare, so wouldn't be exciting enough:p

    But the county show is very good especially the dog trials, the craft/food tent and a place where kids can get up and close to various animals and ask owners questions about them.

    Its a decent afternoon's outing.
