John, would prefer wall-mounted.The system is basically for a cabin I have, so as well as a home theatre it serves as a pub, so want to keep the speakers up and away from my drunken guests!!!! Thats why I need good punchy/bass from the speakers for music in the 5.1 stereo mode. Budget is around the €500 mark for everything, might manage a bit more? BTW, its a big room, approx. 28 feet x 16 feet.

    Hi Kingaaa.

Is it €500 for the speakers including the sub ?

Have you looked at the Boston A series ?

The excellent A25 for front speakers, A23 rears and matching centre.

These would come in at £369 / 435 Euro. This retails at £500, so that's a mega price and the A25 got a great review in What Hifi. Depending on the size of the room, the Cambridge S80 sub at £99.95 would fill in the bottom end.

The speakers can be mounted just using a screw in the wall as they have a keyhole.

Delivery would be £19 to deliver the lot.

Let me know what you think.

Dave, I want to get a fairly even sound with music from the receiver, as it will be used for music as much as home cinema. What would speakers like the Tannoy Mercury be like for music and home cinema?

John/Dave, I've just been reading up on the Vectors and seemingly they give quite a good account of themselves, I think I'll go for those plese! Just a couple of questios:

    1. you mentioned dedicated wall brackets, are they included?

    2. can another 2 vectors be bought seperatley to make it a 7.1 system? (excuse my question but never had a 7.1 before)

Get back to me as soon as you can so I can get these delivered!

    Hi Kingaaa.

The brackets are not included in the Box.

The Monitor Audio Brackets are £24.95 per pair or we have universal brackets that are £14.95 per pair that we can offer also.

The V10's are available to buy as a pair and are sold at £129.95 for the pair.

    Keep me posted.
