Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I was hoping some of you might have gotten a few shots. BBC news covered it just now and showed the moon surface as a rusty red. It looked amazing.

The sky stayed clear over Galway Bay long enough to see the eclipse as the moon rose over the Burren Hills - here is my effort

Was at the Astronomy Ireland event in the Phoenix Park, doing mostly video but got a few pictures. The clouds didn't break much during the eclipse, but I got some photos a little later. Unfortunately I don't have much practice photographing with this little light ):

Thanks for sharing lunar eclipse pictures as I have missed this opportunity to see the eclipse.

Feckin' Clouds ruined it for me below here in Limerick! Two hour walk to get to where I wanted to be and it ruined it!

All I could see last night was cloud, but my friend who lives a 10 minute walk away from me saw the whole thing for ages. Go figure... :(

This was taken at the Rock of Dunamase. Pretty windy up there so was unable to keep the camera steady on the tripod. Plus my telephoto is crap.

Picture was taken through telescope and pretty late, just how picture turned out. The picture is inverted, compare it too the other pictures posted, you can see by the craters on the moon :)

Inverted would account for one anomaly.

So it wasn't taken directly with a "cheap point and shoot from about 5 years ago" :)

.He must have nerves of steel and adjusted his steadiness for the lag.

Oh, it was taken from a spot in Ireland or is it mirrored and inverted? ;)

I've done that with my telescope and an lg viewty camera phone before. It is actually surprising easy with great results.
