    GARDA TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS - LIMERICK 19/06/11
    18 June 2011
    In the interest of Safety (which dictates) and pursuant to Section 91 of the Road Traffic Act, 1961 as amended which will apply, the following are details of traffic arrangements necessary to cater for Category A Events (Full House, 50,000) and Category B Events (25,000) at Pairc Na Gael (Gaelic Grounds) Ennis Road, Limerick City. Next event is SUNDAY the 19/6/2011 Cat (B): Clare v Cork Intermediate Hurling throw in @ 1.45 & Senior Clare v Tipperary @ 4.00pm - Road Closure likely from 12 Midday onwards.

    Residents in following areas please note road closures/diversions as set out under.

    Ashbrook/Ashbrook Gdns., Bracken Cres./Gdns., Fort Mary Pk., High Field, Coolraine Tce., Shelbourne Park / Lansdowne Park, Corrib Dr., Brookville Ave., Merval Dr.,/Pk./Cres., Rushdale & Aishling Drive(s), Lissadell, Parkview Ave./Dr., Clifton Ville, Waterville, Avondale, Beechwood & Oakland Drive(s), Shannonville, Hazeldene, Hillcrest Dr. and part of Coolraine, who are advised to contact Mayorstone Station to collect Resident Passes which will facilitate access/movement in the immediate area surrounding the grounds.

    Road Closures:

    Road Closures will apply from 12:00 Midday. Until after 4.30pm at the following locations;
    Ivans Caherdavin Cross
    North Circular Rd/Fort Mary Park Jnct.
    Ennis Rd./Ashbrook junction/entrance into Corrib Drive
    Ennis Road at its junction/entrance into Shannonvale/Hazeldene
    Ennis Road at its junction / entrance into Lansdowne Park
    Union Cross traffic lights& adjoining road/laneway No54 to/from to NCR
    Shelbourne Road Upper at its junction with Shelbourne Park
    Shelbourne Road Upper at its junction with Mayorstone Drive
    Old Cratloe Road at its junction with Mayorstone Avenue
    Old Cratloe Roadat its junction with Mayorstone Upper 1
    Old Cratloe Road near its junction with Merval Drive/LIT Roundabout

    Diversions:
    Jetland Shopping Centre/Ashbrook Est left only towards Ivan's Caherdavin X
    Roses Ave/Shannonville/Hazeldene/ Lansdowne right/left resp. to city only


    To facilitate access within above area and for your convenience vehicle passes for residents & business persons are available to be collected at Mayorstone Garda Station between the hours of 10am ~ 6pm daily Monday to Saturday and between 10am ~ 1pm only on Sunday. Identification, place of residence/place of work and reg. number of vehicle(s) etc will be necessary. If you forget to collect this pass and by having your driving licence on you (as you are obliged to do so whilst driving) then passage to your residence should be facilitated.
