Does anyone get free beauty samples?If so from where?
I am a sucker for samples and they are a great way of trying out a product before spending a fortune on the product and risking not liking it.

I signed up for Garnier ultra lift test where you can get 14 samples to test

Make-up counters like Chanel, Estee Lauder, all high end ones basically give samples of their foundation. Little mini bottles.

Just wondering did anyone get any free samples since I started this thread, I am still waiting.........:D

A few years ago, my cousin had an idea for her hen party to compile little beauty bags for all the hen party goers; we went round to pharmacies and explained that if they had any little samples could we have them..we got TONNES of stuff that would othrwise be chucked out.. perfume vials, creams, shampoos, exfoliatoras...all little things but was a really nice treat for all the girls who came! I'd go and ask..

I have never had luck tho at cosmetic counters aksing for samples of their stuff cos they always say 'we have no bottles, if you bring one in we can give you some'

I agree I think the cosmetic counters are the worst for getting a sample from. The girls are prob keeping them all for themselves. I also get the excuse "we have no containers", even when I buy my usual high end foundation and want a sample of a darker shade for summer.

Samples, samples......where are all the samples!!:D

My granny manages to wrangle free samples out of her local big chemist all the time, benefiting me:D I'd be rubbish at it though, think you need to be shameless and never take no for an answer! She just has the knack though, wears them down:D

In defence of some pharmacies (not the big big ones ) sometimes it's quite hard for us to get samples! The companies can be super stingy these days and sometimes if you ask for samples of stuff, they MIGHT send you 12, which go in no time :rolleyes: We get very very few perfume samples nowadays.

I hate when I have to say to someone that we have no samples today, and they give me this look, as if I'm lying! I love giving samples!

Can i just say as someone who works on a cosmetic counter.... we do not keep the "freebies". We rarely get mini sized samples. Not many counters even have sample pots. What consumers seem to forget is,these all cost money and some cosmetic companies are trying to struggle through the recession also, so this may filter down to less samples being produced. I totally agree it is a great way to try before you buy but for all the genuine customers there seems to be more than just want samples for the sake of it or there holidays and never have any intention of ever buying the products which takes away from the genuine customer, which is a real shame.

It's good to know the story from a cosmetic counter employee side. My experience has always been no samples unless you purchase a product, and sometime not even that.
I find Clinque counters very good especially in the 2 debenhams I shop in anyway.

Yeah i think the issue of getting a sample with a purchase is that those samples are sent in as a certain amount and have to be accounted for with sales. In my personal experience I’ve found some people do get so annoyed that we don’t have any samples but we don’t get them in on a regular basis. And if you manage to give them a sample, i get "is that it???" They expect a handful. I find it very baffling! :rolleyes:

Recieved my 14 day Garnier trial samples in the post yesterday.It also includes a 1 euro coupon. Day 1 yesterday,we'll see how the wrinkles are after the 14:rolleyes:

Just choose UK if you have to choose a country and use the postcode BT1 1AA. The sorting office in Belfast will usually redirect it to your address then.

I just tried it for the Hugo Boss fragrance sample but it doesn't work. I think I'd have to put down Belfast. Worth a try though! Will report if I get anything

Love fragrance samples. So ideal for bringing on hols. Perfume bottles are usually such stupid big shapes!!

EDIT: Nope, won't accept my ROI address at all. BOO! How come we don't get free stuff?

i got samples from maybeline, garnier and loreal... all i did i just went on their pages and type samples on their page... i waited around 3 weeks . maybeline gave me 3 samples of BB cream, garnier gave me 10 samples of cream and loreal gave me 6
