Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Help and advice wanted, I am currently riding a Honda CBR600RR which is a wicked fast sports bike as you people know. However I would like to change to a cruiser and can't afford a Pan European so am looking at possibly a Deauville 700 as an alternative. Everything I read suggests that the bike is dull and boring but I'm only interested in reliability and comfort and am a fair weather rider.

So can any Deauville riders give me the heads up, is it really the poor mans Pan?

The deauville are a good reliable all rounder, wouldn't be my choice though.
I've a v-strom 1000 and love it.Great for cruising, load's of power and very flickable for a big bike.
Couldn't go to far wrong with a GS 1200 either.

CBR6 to a Deauville is a mental step and you will probably get bored and pi$$ed off rapidly.
The V-Strom 650, VFR800 or Bandit 600S would b a nice compromise between race rep and easy cruising as they are well respected in both worlds. V-storm more along the lines of a road going GS BMW though.
