Tall ships watching

    Hi just new to area , looking for a good place to see the tall ships , take some pics, and maybe meet some of the crews. any info much appreciated. mick

    Waterford is really ideal for the tall ships, so anywhere along the quay. North quay would be good for a photo, you get the city centre Viking stuff in the background.

    Nearby villages like Passage East or Dunmore East would be good too for photos during the parade of sale. It will be tough to get parking there, so I'm just going to cycle out.

    The lawn of the Athenaeum hotel on the Kilkenny side of the river might be worth a visit!

    Passage east and will have a park and ride in place. And stalls and amusments. nice place to view from . But horrible power station might take from any photos you might take.

    Best place for me is Duncannon- they've got to come in real close because of to channel. Or Hook head. Sun behind hopefully. And a good long lens as they shoud be dropping sail about then.
