Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I still think Liverpool are good enough to give us a good hiding on Saturday. Sturridge will want to give a good showing that he should be their talisman.

As sh*t as Liverpool have been this season we have been much much worse. A massive leap backwards this season!

He's ripped us a new one last few times he's been at SJP too.

    I'm not expecting much tbh.

If we can't beat a liverpool team with all due respect who'll be without their only world class player and who has carried them through in so many many games this year,i'd be seriously concerned.

Got a mail from NUST for their player of the season vote. Was actually unable to think of a player deserving of the award....

Ended up going for Cisse given his goals

    Any other alternatives?

  • Registered Users Posts: 251 ✭✭Anoeta

I voted for Steven Taylor. Think he's been immense since he came back from injury. Some big performances from him in Europe. Not a lot to choose from though. I chose Santon for most imprioved. Again it was slim pickings trying to find a player who made any progress this year.

    Marveaux for me.

Most improved possibly (he was my vote as most improved), had a very wonky first half to the season

Big game tomorrow. Hopefully Ben Arfa is back up to speed. He terrorised Liverpool in last seasons fixture.

Very nervous times ahead if Wigan end up winning this, which looks likely.

Still think it should be either them or Wigan. 1 point should maybe be enough to guarantee it.

Galling considering the shafting we got down there, should be done and dusted. Spurs all over the place. Win needed this evening, cant see it though

I knew before I even looked at the team sheets that HBA would be on the bench. The mind boggles.

Whats the point of this analysis???? what a load of tripe

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

This myth of the EL causing us problems is getting nauseating. We played a completely different team in the group and qualifying stages and we got knocked out of both cups almost immediately!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

Bad feeling about this game. Moronic team selection.

Saving hba for an important game lads! Relax!

You'd swear this was an away game the way we're lining up here. Sort it out Pardew

We are playing the mighty Liverpool who in fairness have been unstoppable this season, 5 in the middle is clearly the way to go. Not as if we need the points or anything! Creative winners, pft! Waste of time

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

This is making me sick. Riduclous tactics, shape and none of the players look like they give a toss.

On your bike Pardew. We're staring straight into the abyss now.

So now we basically have to hope Wigan **** up because we aren't going to win anytime soon.

Pardews position is untenable now, surely.

Today's the first time I've watched Newcastle in a while. Really surprised at how poor they've been. Pardew has to be under some serious pressure.

    Yet another abject performance

Pardew will surely be shown the door on the 20th of May

its a 1 year rolling contract that runs for 8 years

*interesting fact, we have been abysmal since it has been signed

Cannot recall such a humiliating performance than this in all my years supporting this shower of wasters

It would be totally deserved if we went down.

We've arguably been the worst team in this league this season.

How many of our wins have actually been deserved?

I just want this season over and never look back on it again. Stuff of nightmares.

Considering the caliber of player available to us its actually unbelievable. One of the best squads we have had and we perform like this. We all know where the problem lies, i have been screaming from the rooftop for months. Seems most are in agreement now

most goals conceded in the league
    worst defeat in PL history
worst home defeat in almost 87 years

If we survive Pardew is clearly not the man to take us forward. The time to act is now i fear. I would normally say to hold off till the end but now with our best players becoming available we are getting worse.

    PARDEW OUT!

    Yup.

You might ask what good will it do to sack him now but we have to say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. 0-9 in our last 2 home games, one of which vs our local rivals.

The club is a laughing stock and its getting worse and worse. By sheer luck we might somehow stay up. It won't be deserved.

I think he'd be a good choice. Laurent Blanc would be great if Newcastle could get him. Would obviously be dependent on staying up of course.

One of the most galling things is the criticism of the fans. Despite the putrid crap that has been served up the fans have gotten behind the team when they needed it (4 home sellouts in a row for the first time in about 5 years). They are rewarded with abject performances and some sections of the media have the balls to question them. Pardew as also grumbled once or twice. Its time for these experts to pull their heads out of their arses and get their facts straight
