Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Looking forward to tomorrow, see what our response is like. Encouraged by the comments of Pardew advising us to keep possession - easier said than done, but right attitude.

It's typical that we'd have to play United at Old Trafford, the gameweek after Everton ended a historic wait for a victory there! :pac:

Then again, why can't we? NO Rooney, and RVP doubtful.

Victory would be incredible, but I'm not holding my breath! Fair refereeing would be a start...

    HTL.

I'd say he's referring to that cluster **** by Howard Webb in our last game against Swansea, more so than the Old Trafford syndrome..

    Loosing, brings on 3 defenders
    Winning brings.on 3 strikers

*injury stopped the latter. Cisse wa about to come on

hopefully debuchy only has something minor with his injury

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

    UNBELIEVABLE JEFF!!!

    YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,746 ✭✭✭TaosHum

Great result that. Players worked very hard and were the better in possession.

I don't care about United going through a bad spell, to win a Old Trafford is huge. That's how good this team can be.

Raging I missed it but I don't think I've had a longer 3 minutes staring at my phone in my life!!:cool::cool::cool:

What a start to the weekend!

Oh and fair play to Sian Massey. Made the right call when countless other linesman have lacked the courage to do it. Good on her.

Although we didn't play unbelieveably well, there are some good positives out of that game.

Debuchy looks like one of the best right back in the league, Ben Arfa was great when he came on; tracked back and held the ball up extremely well.

    Tiote was superb also.

Cant forget a much needed clean sheet!

Lets just hope Swansea was a minor glitch and we can push on and pick up a decent haul of points over the christmas period.

Yep, was a scrappy victory. Amazing that it took so long to di it there, we have had much better teams and much better performances (like last year) and invariably lost!

Delighted all the same, monkey off our backs

    Absolutely over the moon.

Some fantastic passing football on display, what a performance from our midfield. Anita quality again, as was Tioté, Moussa and Yohan.

Mike Williamson outstanding, OUTSTANDING! Santon pretty faultless, Debuchy likewise, Coloccini his usual cool, classy self.

Rémy put a great shift in, as did Ben Arfa when he came on - Shola played his part by winding down the clock as well.

I actually can't fault any of their performances! :pac:

    Delighted, delighted, delighted!

What has been put into williamsons cornflakes? He used be a complete liability, but has turned it around with more than one consistent performance

Did someone mention on here (could have been on radio) that Pardew admitted he got it completely wrong tactically against Swansea?

If so then I would be pleased he said that. Good to admit your mistakes and learn from them.

Pretty much yeah, and he said the entire game was a kick in the backside for the entire team.

NUFC to offer printed media paid Bronze, Silver and Gold packages for interviews with players and staff. Also looking for a "Media Partner"

I'm guessing T&C's would include a positive aspect on all stories!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

It's the same "retreat 20 yards and try and defend" tactic yet again.

Cisse on and not Ben Arfa is odd too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

I wonder what Southamptons foul count has been today.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

Stupid tactic of retreating when in control costs us again.

That said we had the chances to win this. Remy with a couple of unbelievable misses
