Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Trust you to come along and ruin the mood.

They were after him in the summer too, nothing new there.

I'd say he'll be off in the summer tbh, but he won't be cheap.

They way things are going for us it is the only thing I can cling on to. Happy Christmas :pac:

Ah no, in fairness at least you try (and often succeed) in holding on to your best players. If we'd done the same with Bent, Gyan, Henderson, Mignolet, Sessegnon, Malbranque etc etc we wouldn't be in the state that we are in.

Cabaye is (alongside Suarez) the most valuable player in the league IMO, in terms of how Newcastle perform when he is in or out of the side. He makes such a difference. See last season for example when you were struggling but he came back from injury and straight away things turned around.

    Top player.

You're definitely right, he's a huge player for us.

And in all seriousness I hope you stay up. Newcastle need Sunderland as much as you need us. :pac:

    Doesn't look good though.

    HBA in for Tiote!

Or for Ameobi in our home formation with Anita in for Tiote

Krul, Debuchy, Coloccini (c), Williamson, Santon, Sissoko, Cabaye, Anita, Ben Arfa, Remy, Gouffran

    Missing Tiote here...

no one from midfield tracking back. Every breaking ball at the edge of the box uncontested.... Bound to score from one eventually

I don't like our team with Ben arfa...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

And this is why he hasn't been getting in the side...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

Tiote more of a miss here imho... midfield not at the races. Can't blame hba for a.flat midfield and some lazy stuff from remy

Remy has made some good runs and not been picked out, Sissoko the primary culprit.

Whealen off and Hughes blows his top, lol.

Mental few mins. Can't keep up

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,561 ✭✭✭Duff

Bit of a mental 5 minutes there. Whelan's second yellow was harsh. Anyway, we should have this now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,036 ✭✭✭BArra

    remy pen miss

at least he got the follow up goal few mins later, the lad hasnt scored in a good few games. seems too isolated up top on his own, he should be pulling in from wide, needs shola or somebody up there with him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

HBA created the penalty and the goal didnt he?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

Has to be said we got some amount of decisions our way there.

Makes up for the countless nonsense decisions against us :pac:

Fully agree with that. Much better cutting inside. A 433 with cisse in the middle would be ideal if cisse was in form

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,036 ✭✭✭BArra

need to save some of that luck for arsenal on sunday!:pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,561 ✭✭✭Duff

Done and dusted, I'd hope. REMY.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

Lovely. Couldn't happen to a nicer team. Mark Hughes and Stoke are a perfect match for each other.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,036 ✭✭✭BArra

should rightly stick another 2 or 3 away before the final whistle with their number disadvantage it lets newcastle press constantly

Get cisse on. A few goals might help his confidence.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

Hba has set up a penalty, 2 goals and hit the post twice!

All after the red cards though. Easy for him now he has space.

Had a shot early in the first half and played 2 great through balls that were the only thing we had done before the sending off. Obviously the reds have helped since. Actually the end of the palace game was.much the same

No doubting we have been bailed out by the ref here but HBA was not the.reason we were.poor.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,036 ✭✭✭BArra

cisse coming on... best possible chance for him to get a goal and get that confidence up from zero

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5
