Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Have we traveled back in time to last season?

Make no mistake, WBA have been brutal today, absolutely awful. and they fully deserve their lead.

We created 1 chance today! 1!

Yup, they've been utter dog****. They've won in spite of themselves.

Days like this I wish I wasn't a football fan, utter agony the entire 90 minutes. Pardew has to be blamed but it's not his fault not a single player on the pitch can pass, control or spot another player for the entire game.

When you have Shola in the team the long ball is a temptation. A combination of that and Ameobi giving it away every time the ball hits him somewhere!

Ant Everton get a late equaliser, absolute worst 2 days in a long time, nothing going our way

    Ah jesus!

Right im out, football can **** off for today.

That was utterly atrocious, man to man. They should be ashamed of themselves.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

This is why we need a decent manger, playing Shola at all is a no no!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,561 ✭✭✭Duff

    That was absolute dogshít.

  • Registered Users Posts: 980 ✭✭✭Seannew1

In the last 2 games our performances have been negative, flat and really disappointing. Cisse scores a great penalty against stoke ending a drought and he's completely ignored for the next 2 games in favour of Ameobi, when was Ameobi's last goal in the league?? Baffling! Ben Arfa tore West Brom apart 2 years ago and he didn't start, I give up...

    Debuchy out for three games.
    Colo out for 6 weeks....

    It begins

I'm sure Coloccini is delighted having himself a nice 6 week break in the sun in Argentina!

Pretty awful performance indeed - from both sides.

    Senseless from Debuchy.

Wouldn't have changed Ameobi for Anita myself, but the rest will hopefully do the little man good.

Coloccini's injury may well see the return of a certain Steven Taylor, especially with Debuchy suspended too..

    One of those days folks!

John Heitinga on the way to NUFC supposedly... Strange signing to say the least. Adds some experience to the back line I suppose

Story originally denied by the club, then WHU say that he wont be joining them and they believe that he's joining NUFC

*Also being linked with Remy Cabella (cant say i know anything about the lad bar what I have read today)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,036 ✭✭✭BArra

Do we need a central defender? Heitenga wants regular games, nobody displaces Colo, he's out for upto six weeks only?

Williamson is stable, mbiwa and Taylor on bench also

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,774 ✭✭✭cadete

Heitinga quite hard to see as at his age wouldnt be the normal but his contract is up in the summer so would be decent for what transfer fee we will pay, but gotta assume wages would be towards the top of our scale, preparing for colo leaving?
know nothing about caballa 18 apps 6 goals 3 assists for montpellier considering they are 4th bottom aint bad

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

Heitinga one is strange, we need cover at full back more then center half.

Cabella is a tidy little player but is he a replacement for Cabaye I wonder?

He's not a striker or a winger really, which is what we're missing.

Be happy if we got him though, definitely a player with potential.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

Looks like the Heitinga deal is a false alarm even if it did come from "official" sources

If we sign Rémy Cabella I'll cry tears of happiness!

This is a longshot but anyone buy the Newcastle membership or know anyone with season ticket?
There's a few of us heading over to home match v spurs next month and we want to get tickets. If your a member or season ticket holder you can buy them a few weeks before general so would be nice to get decent seats.
    cheers

Membership is only 35 quid I think. .. not much if there is a group of ye. Think international members can buy multiple tickets.

Cheers man I think its a limit of four per member.Il be damned If I give Ashley any more money than I have to. If your not a member when tickets go on general sale they charge an extra tenner so he can fuvk off. If he spent some money on players I wouldn't mind spending extra cash to the club

    A very, very gifted footballer.
Skillful, a turn of pace with great vision and a serious touch.

I remember watching him against Arsenal in the Champions League last year I think it was, he was immense. Nearly scored a worldie as well.

If we signed him it shows big ambition, and although many will argue its because they're making contingency plans for the inevitable departure of Cabaye - Cabella would be a suiting replacement, albeit not quite the same mold of a player as Yohan.

Less than £12m can land him apparently, snap him up!!

Cabaye spotted in Newcastle airport today. Wonder if this is another Shay Given "injury"?

Where'd you find this pic as a matter of interest?

Gonna fire an article up on it.

Lee Ryder tweeted the pic. Checking in on a AirFrance flight. Hopefully just a holiday home but doubtful.

Is the game today not on any channel?

Not being televised anywhere. Would imagine a stream would be hard to come by.

    Talksport has commentary i think...

Obertan set to be involved today, guess we can assume we will be concentrating on the league from mid January as usual

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,561 ✭✭✭Duff

Strong enough line-up and I expect a win but seriously, where the absolute fúck is Marveaux?

His name absolutely slipped my mind as he has near on disappeared, talented player. Should be in this team today

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

Sounds like a continuation of the last 2 games today. No spark

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,561 ✭✭✭Duff

    1-0, Cissé.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

    And the inevitable equaliser.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

What a load of boll*cks, our season is basically over now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

Bet Mike Ashley can barely contain his delight.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

    Not seen the game since it's not online anywhere but I bet it went like this;

    We score.

We suddenly sit back and they make changes and score twice.

Why is it substitutes always **** us?

  • Registered Users Posts: 980 ✭✭✭Seannew1

Ever since Pardew has come in, we've exited at this stage every single time to lesser opposition, not flipping good enough

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

Season over 5th Jan, not going down, no Europe, no cup run, and no signings.

Couldn't have gone better for Ashley.

    **** this club.

  • Registered Users Posts: 980 ✭✭✭Seannew1

Can't wait to hear the "we missed Cabaye, Coloccini, Krul out there, we were tired" blah blah blah excuses...

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,746 ✭✭✭TaosHum

Mandatory 3rd round exit under Pardew.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

Yawn. Another cup surrender.... and completely as predicted.

Club have stayed there no ambition in the cups and low and behold we loose

Btw. This strength in depth rubbish that we keep hearing about. Horse sh1t

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

Now we can focus on the league where 10th is the goal!

At least #nufc and their success-starved fans can now concentrate on the all-important battle for 8th place. #facup
