Managers are basically like politicians. They'll say anything to cover their ass. Even blatantly untrue statements.

It's all that ever seems to come out of Pardews mouth though.

It's very grating and he hurts himself doing it.

Think of the Remy red card, him saying he won't appeal it and then the club appeals.

    Idiotic.

Happy to have a job and will do exactly as he is told. As soon as that changes he will be sacked. Although that makes him a victim, he is also part of the problem!

And we could need to spend a lot of money in the summer.

Remy and de Jong are unlikely to be kept on, Shola is gone, Cisse probably gone.

We're going to need at least 3 strikers. They don't come cheap.

Replacement for Cabaye, cover for the defence etc.

I honestly fear for us next season unless SERIOUS investment is made.

Does anyone trust Ashley to do that?

Any chance he's asset stripping prior to flogging off the club? I know its less valuable to an incoming buyer minus our key players, but the club will still get its slice of the TV money and it allows ashley to sell at a lower price in order to cover his initial outlay to buy the club?

Unlikely, but not altogether unplausible!!!! Gotta live in hope!

0 chance, he's here to stay folks. Free world wide advertising for his plastic tracksuits worth 20/30 million a year!

A lot of business orientated types have said before that from the outside it definitely looks like he's planning for a sale.

But it hasn't happened yet. Nor is there any sign of it happening.

That story has come out of an interview Comolli did on SSN radio earlier in the week. Not sure there is much in it tbh

Did well at Spurs, imo. A total disaster at Liverpool.

    Apart from Suarez...

Possibility of another unwanted record to add to the list for our Pards! First time in history of the PL that we have lost 4 consecutive home games.

Would be amazed if we got anything from the game TBH. We basically ended our season when Cabaye was not replaced, that has to affect the players too. They are now in a battle for 8th or 9th. They must be as enthused as i am!

No Loic Remy, Tiote, Coloccini, Debuchy, Cisse or Gouffran.

Considering also Spurs away form of late, I think we are in for a pasting.

Your ability to consistently look on the bright side has to be admired and hated in equal measure!!

Krul, Debuchy, Willo, Saylor, Santon, Sammy, Sissoko, Anita, Gouffran, De Jong, Cisse.

    Straight 4-4-2?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

Knowing him De Jong is probably on the right or something.

    Ben Arfa rightly dropped.

Ben Arfa seemingly only gets to play in a struggling team. Never gets a chance when we are doing well.

Could be more than a coincidence of course but cant be good for the lads confidence

He did get a chance. He was crap. Refuses to pass the ball and runs down blind alleys.

I think he's done tbh. Whether its his attitude or the coaching or both is another matter.

Have to disagree there. Did not play at all when we were doing well this year, we were **** all last season. Generally having to run with the ball due to the complete lack of movement ahead oh him. Also Pardew inexplicably tends to play long ball when HBA is on. (not arguing that he has been poor, but he has been 1 of 11 disfuntional players)

Cisse, What more do you want lad???

first time since the 70's to loose 4 home games in a row
first time since the 20's to loose 3 derbies in a row
worst run of 5 games ever
worst run of 10 games ever
worst run of 15 games ever
    worst defeat in PL
2 goals from corners since taking over
    2 wins after going behind
75 games without turning over a HT loss

    Destroys Sissoko/cisse/Ben arfa/tiote/cabaye

Things are fine though evidently and we should be delighted!

so how many will spurs score today?

And de Jong has spent the entire game running in the channels.

    Pardew is a tactical genius.

Santon is the next to have his confidence totally destroyed.

Oh, and Spurs played a day later then we did and had to travel up from London.

I wonder what his excuse will be today.

If you supported ANY other club you could accept this as the manager would get the boot. This is Newcastle though and we will have to listen to this useless slimey cretin spouting some ridiculous excuses for some time to come.

yay, a repeat of this season or maybe the joys of last season awaits us then! They are the two options lads, when we do well we will sell our best players and when we do badly we will sign players to ensure survival
