Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Add him to the list... So many failures in the squad after great starts! A new manager is whats needed here, perhaps one or two could return to form...

That is to be expected of any newcastle defender ... you can only judge a NUFC defender on their forward exploits ....:D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

In the last 35 NUFC league games, Cabaye has been absent for 953 minutes. Newcastle have scored 2 goals in that time.

Lol no1 will argue with that :)

Willo and collo have been really good today, not been overly busy but imo our best performers,

De Jong on, a man to turn the game, with his record of 0 goals this season he is sure to turn this!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,917 ✭✭✭✭GT_TDI_150

btw .... how does 'Mister Sunderland' get to be co-commentator on a newcastle game?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

    Garbage...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,774 ✭✭✭cadete

Well Pardew has addressed precisely NONE of the issues we have seen in the last few games, VIlla are just not as good as Spurs etc, otherwise we would be getting hockied again.

I'm slowly accepting the fact that we will never score a goal again. We can survive on 38 0-0 draws a season, right? Just need to work on that defence.

    Edit: Thank God!

Happy to get a goal and a win. Unhappy with the performance and the failure to address any of the problems that have blighted our season.

Glad I skipped that, sounded woeful!

Dreadful game. We are utter shíte to watch. We're lucky that Villa aren't as good as recent opposition otherwise we'd have been torn apart. So frail.

Glad we won but far from convincing.

Tv revenues go through the roof, we spend nothing and barely make a profit and the "interest free loan" remains static

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

Going back to the match at the weekend, what the hell was pardew at signaling to the press after Remy scored? You had won 1 game in the previous 8 and only scored in one of them? A last minute winner against a poor villa side somehow makes up for that in his eyes? Baffling

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Read that BBC article regarding profits.

One thing that pissed me off no end.
"If the club can sustain itself as a 'top 10' team year-on-year with a stable structure and the right finances, it gives itself every chance of pushing even further

We had every chance of pushing on when we finished fifth that time. We've gone backwards since.

Fúcking irritating. Oh and, "static interest free loans"

    Give me a break.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,774 ✭✭✭cadete

the clubs end of year accounts yesterday 9.9 million profit which in fairness is great and im delighted the clubs finances are sound but below is an extract from the statement
“Ultimately the income the Club generates, particularly, given the restrictions of the Premier League FFP Rules, from match day, commercial i.e. non-TV income, will directly impact on the strength and quality on the pitch.”

“The process requires patience but we remain absolutely committed to growing the Club in a responsible and sustainable way.”

Now the part in bold is interesting, money NOT from tv income will be spent on the squad, we can expect around 80 million from sky this summer up from 40 million i would love to know where this extra 40 million will go and why it could not be invested in the squad! So considering that tv income will not be invested will we still be required to sell out brightest and best to fund transfers? I certainly hope not, and also a vast majority of possible commercial income is free for sports direct

Tim Krul, take a bow lad!

Earned us that goal... which was also tidy.

Will turn a blind eye to the defending for the hull chances
