De Jong is a donkey, a total lemon.

    Shola mark 2 so far...

Hope I'm wrong, but he looks useless. A preseason may help though

De jong seems to be suffering the same condition as cisse, complete lack of confidence.

Maybe if he can get one in the net it might help

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

How is BEn Arfa a worse option than De Jong?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

Two goals from weakly squandered attacking positions.

    I'm out.

Dont worry, Pards is on the phone to sort it out!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

of the 11 games before today we have gone behind we have lost 10 and drawn 1

    Consistency the key for Pardew!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

And Dummet continues his awful set piece taking unabated

Funnily enough when your two strikers have scored 1 goal from play between them in a year you score fcuk all! Who'd a thunk it!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

And the trend that as soon as we play anyone decent they murder us continues.

Half of that team is absolutely hopeless.

Example: Williamson, just because he's better than Taylor does not mean he's good enough. Yeah i know he has not been the worst this season but he's exactly the kind of player we hang on to, does a job, but thats it.#

Anita was gash tonight, Dummett is not ready for the first team and his set pieces have been awful. CIsse and De Jong are a waste of space. Gouffran had a stinker tonight, Mbiwa too!

Owner couldnt give a toss, manager doesnt have a clue, at least half the team are not good enough... hopeless

Quite how pardew believed that the team that struggled against Fulham and Crystal Palace was going to be able for Everton is beyond me.

I think football and I need some serious time apart. Didn't watch at the weekend. Wouldn't have bothered today if United city was not on telly.

Our game against Southampton "is like a cup final"

    **** right off!

Have never been so disinterested in a season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

The amount of work and investment we need simply to finish mid table next season is frighting.

I can't remember a team being in a false position as much as us. Damning on the sides below us.

any truth that n'castle are interested in getting carrick off United?

Not unless he's out of contract, even then I'd imagine there would be half a dozen better options for him.

That said united were supposed to be interested in Tiote, might be a deal there somewhere, i would doubt it though!

What really scared me about the result is if you look at both lineups, there isn't a single Newcastle player i'd pick ahead of his Everton counterpart.

Down to Southampton for our annual dicking from them.

We made Osman and the likes look like world beaters on Tuesday. God knows what Lallana and co will do.

Thank Christ i'm out for the day.

“Southampton have a huge catchment area and it’s a different type of catchment area,” said Pardew, whose Newcastle side travel to Southampton sitting just one place above them in the Premier League.

“There is a big working-class community, but there are a lot of middle-class kids who have a good education. The players who come out of Southampton are quite intelligent and there might be something in that. We have to put more intelligence into our players. That’s another side of the academy, it’s very important to not just look after the football side of it, but to also bring the right personalities through.

“We want them to be level-headed. Look at [Gareth] Bale, [Theo] Walcott, [Adam] Lallana, [Luke] Shaw, they’re all comfortable with the media, they’re all together sort of guys. That’s not down to location, that’s down to education.”

what is this chap smoking? He's a PR disaster

I agree with him. Education builds character.

I agree in part, but we are dealing with kids who will all be in school... His assertion that middle class players are better than working class players is quite frankly laughable

getting the runaround here, surprise surprise

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

Pardews pre match comments about having 2/3 of the side sorted out are baffling, the way we have defended recently has been comical. We are all at sea today. Defense an absolute joke, midfield unbalanced, forward useless. This should be 4/5 already

maybe the 1/3 he reckons he's shorts is defenders

by the way, what has santon done to not get into the starting 11?

    He specifically mentioned the forwards.

    Our defense is rosy evidently

Push up FFS, the tactic of lying deep has almost cost us 5/6 times, its clearly not working, why persist?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

this is awful, next season is going to be a long long slog. Relegation fodder on this form.

Credit to Rob Elliott, he's having a stormer

Thankfully we had Cabaye for the first 1/2 of this season or we'd be relegation fodder this season!

As long as we keep scrapping enough points to stay up, there will be no investment in the team ... sickening to support this lot!

Annoying how this was predicted with great accuracy 3 months ago....

    Hilarious

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

The players that have been **** for 4/5 games are not to blame though, its all HBA's fault as per usual. Yes he was quiet, but we rarely used him, most of the forward balls were long high balls, completely taking him out of the game.

THis has been another absolutely pathetic performance, useless at the back and awful up top

    4 or 5 - 0 anyone?

It should be 4/5 already, only Southamptons awful finishing has saved us.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

Another thumping by an average side.

There was an awful challenge on Tiote in the build up, mystifying that there was no free given!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

Glad I skipped this, saw it was 19-1 in shots on goal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

    Could easily have scored 10.

And our manager thinks our defence and MF are grand! Seriously!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

3 or more goals conceded in 5 of our last 9 games and we have only scored in 3 of the last 10.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

And we have 3 left backs on the pitch now. #strengthindepthmyhole

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

    @NUFCThreatLevel

Tactical guru Pardew had Lallana, Lambert, Schneiderlain and the like at Southampton. 7th in League One. #NUFC

Anyone remotely surprised at this result?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,561 ✭✭✭Duff

My interest has all but gone over the last few weeks. No direction, no clue. Not even worth the heartache giving out about Pardew and Ashley anymore.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

Well good to see my decision to not watch was entirely justified.
