Could never stick that ameobi. Loyal cos noone else would take him. So long. You won't be missed. On the game nothing surprises me anymore wen it comes to Newcastle. Ever predictable as always. Pardew out and take Ca£hley with you.

The replacement cant even get into the team ahead of Shola FFS! Would be happy to see him go if there were a slim chance of a replacement!

Would not be surprised to hear the phrase "Sholas like a new signing" on deadline day

    Lee Ryder @lee_ryder · 4m
Asked Pardew if season had been "satisfactory" . Refused to answer question.

    Lee Ryder
    @lee_ryder
Also asked him if he was "grateful" to Mike Ashley for sticking with him, walked out room! #nufc #lfc

These are some of the stats that no doubt Mike Ashley and the Board will bring up to the manager early next week at their end of season review:

We lost 14 of our last 20 league games, and dropped from 6th place to 10th place
16 points in the last 20 league games is even worse than relegation form
We failed to score a goal in 13 of those last 20 league games
We lost 15 of the last 21 games played in all competitions
We have lost three of the last four FA Cup third round ties to lower league clubs
Newcastle conceded 59 goals this season, which is a small improvement on our worst ever goals against tally in the Premier League – which was 65 last season
Newcastle scored only 43 goals this season, which is the lowest total since we were relegated in 2009, when we scored only 40 – last season we scored 45
We finished the season with only 9 men on the pitch against Liverpool today, after getting two players sent off and completely collapsing in the last 30 minutes to lose 2-1 – and that’s symptomatic of our season since after Boxing Day – a complete collapse

What more needs to be said. Goals conceded and scored proves this isn't a short term run, it's existed since last year.

Survival attained, bonus attained, 1 years free advertising attained, 30 million or so profits this year.

Rather successful season form Ashleys perspective!

Didnt get to see it live, just watched highlights on MOTD ...

Thankfully the season is over, but now we jsut get to look forward to red herrings in the transfer market, watch players leave and not get replaced ... but please faq lets go through all that with a new manager at least

Unfortunately it's very unlikely that Pardew will be sacked - looks like we'll have to put up with him again. Disheartening.

I thought Norwich's new year run of 2 goals in 7 games was bad..

Some nice Pardew nonsense for you:

"It was shame. Liverpool then got two goals but with 10 men it was always going to be difficult."

BINGO: Excuse number 1 has landed.

"I thought our season in terms of performance was strong."

In what possible way? What in the almighty fúck have you been watching. Jesus wept.

"We had a good game plan. Perhaps we were slightly unfortunate not to get the second goal when Gouff was one on one."

But then *every* game is a good game plan isn't Pardew with our "strong performances" this season.

"The ref played a part in my view in the second half."

    BINGO: Excuse #2 lands.

"He should have managed the game a lot better than he did. And we conceded two goals."

Possibly but then again WE should have managed the game better. Conceded two goals from a similar position. Why is that? Oh yeah, you can't set a team up defensively for shít.

"Liverpool have had a fantastic season and they showed their quality. If you give too many set plays away it will hurt you."

But this isn't the first time a team has "shown their quality" against us from set pieces. It's your fúcking job as a manager to defend against set pieces and set us up accordingly.

"Unfortunately we didn't quite do as well as we should have."

Our season in a nutshell right there Alan.

Whatever happened Dennis Wise? Seemed to be a decent manager. Fell completely from the football radar

I'd reply but i'd end up getting carded.

Not a popular man among Newcastle fans.

If you like guys that buy players from a Youtube clip to appease his mates then yes, he's a good manager.

Lots of managers buy players from their agents. Martin Jol, Sam Allardyce.

Wise proved adept at management. Healthy win ratio's off 40.25/52.94/47.47 in his three stints.

I was asking how come he has been out of football for so long given he has a decent managerial track record.

I don't know the ins and outs of what he did at Newcastle but he wasn't their manager.

Stop being such a touchy little tart. It was a genuine question you pillock.

Tbf, if you dont know the ins and outs of what he did at newcastle and you know he wasnt our manager then why raise the question on a newcastle thread other than to get a reaction?

Go post in the thread of a club he has actually managef

    Depressing read from the Chronicle.

    http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-not-putting-cup-7121647?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
When asked at the meeting whether the club not think it is worth a cup run next season?

The reply was "The board outlined research into Premier League clubs in relation to domestic cup competitions in the last five years, with Swansea City the only club outside the traditional top six to win a domestic cup and not be relegated in the same season (Birmingham and Wigan Athletic were both relegated).

What is the point anymore really?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,774 ✭✭✭cadete

Minutes of the meeting here http://www.nufc.co.uk/page/Fans/FansForum/0,,10278~3831748,00.html
Ah unsurprising really, but still really gutted about it, cups are for drinking tea and not for winning it seems, staying in the league is all that matters, the push to improve every season won't happen as the top 6 are too far ahead in terms of finance(really?? Even Everton who are on the bones of their hole)
The club is for sale but will never happen as it's an impressive advertising board for sports direct, we will continue on blindly with pardew and Ashley hoping relegation doesn't happen, and will never have any success

What is needed is propper boycots... Until the ground is only 1/3 or less full FMA wont take notice.

Weirdly im alreafy hoping we get 0pts in our first 5 games with the opposition consisting of leicester, burnley, hull, west brom and villa ... Surely then he has to go... Actually he'd probably get a new 8yr deal

It's funny how we've been linked with 5 players alone today and continuously yesterday, yet nobody has felt the urge to comment here. It really shows how morale and general expectation amongst us is at an all time low!

    Couldn't agree more.

Looks like Ayoze Perez may be happening though. No doubt Pardew will let him languish in the reserves as he gets only one appearance for the senior team, an 89th minute substitute as we are 3-0 down to Dagenham and Redbridge in the League Cup 3rd Round. Dont worry though.....sure its the PL that matters, not the cups!

    *Sigh*

    :(

We all know anyone who does well will be sold and the cycle will go on and on.

not the kind of signings we need, and supposedly only for the "development" squad

Looks like Remy Cabella could be a done deal.

L'Equipe and Chronicle are both reporting that a deal is close, fee mentioned is £7 million.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

I'll believe it when he's holding up the shirt behind SJP.

    Not til then.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

we will offer him 20 quid a week and a bag of chips to scupper the deal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

    20 quid???

Lets not get carried away here.

Yet another example of Newcastle United being the pathological liars they have proven themselves to be.

They claimed Remy was injured for the Liverpool game.

Remy: "Alan Pardew understood my point of view. We had nothing to play for and I didn't want to risk getting hurt again."

Seriously makes no sense for them to come out with this. Just gets the fans up in arms even more.

Haven't even been keeping up with any developments regarding Newcastle. Just not bothered.

I see bentdner liked in a few publications and no one one here to have a moan about it ... sad state when we the fans really couldnt give a flying one as to what happens at our club.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

On Remy, its quite possible he was trying to reinforce the fact he has not injured to ensure he got in the squad. I guess he didnt think it through though. The club have scans of the injury supposedly.

On Bendner, we almost over achieved last year, doubt very much we will invest. Bendner fits the bill, ie cheap.

I see trying to squeeze the cheapest possible deal for cabella has alerted other clubs. Another huge flaw with the current policy. If you spot a jem , you need to get the deal done, not penny pinch. Supposedly an extra 250k would have sealed the Modric deal, that was deemed too much and spurs nipped in.

Then again, all of the above is pointless, the club knows all of that, they just care about maintaining free advertising and now with the extra TV money there is a cherry on top for Ashley and Co. That makes it even more unlikely the FCB will sell unfortunately! Free advertising and 20-30 million into the back pocket every season. Would you sell?

A positive signing. One of the few Sunderland players I would have actually taken.

Has serious potential, but whether we can get the best out of him is another matter. Not a bad replacement for Gosling. Has EPL experience, decent passer, and versatile.

Exactly a replacement for gosling! A player who only featured when we were on the bones of our arse and rightly so,
Not suprised with how things are going considering the talk from st. James was we wanted transfer business wrapped up before the World Cup. Were goin Down no doubt about it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

Blatant disregard for the fans again. Signing a player who goaded our fans after the 3 nil at their place.

Ignoring that he's a squad player at best. Will probably be good enough to maintain mid table mediocrity

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Sky Sources (Twitter) say we're 'close' (probably couldn't be further away) to signing Gomis (Probably actually that shíte keeper Gomes from Spurs) and Cabella (who will probably end up somewhere else because we "just couldn't get it over the line")

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 500 ✭✭Malmedicine

He's a Newcastle Fan, I'm hoping for Shearer like stats!!!! Good squad player can play a few positions. Better fit than gosling, amalfitano, gutierriez or abeid. I'm not unhappy, I'm not happy I'm just hhhhhhhmmmmmmmpppppppphhhhhhhhh
