Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Lovenkrands??? Wrong move Pardew.

Sensible change, Demba ba off the pace in the second half, took a knock too. No point risking Ben Arfa

Wolves must have had 20 attempts

    24 actually :eek::eek::eek:

We're lucky that Wolves have been muck in the final third or we'd be losing right now tbh.

Hopefully Pardew spunks his load and sticks on Ben Arfa and Santon in the last 10 mins.

With the exception of a few, we've got a very good looking team.

    Cabaye dream boat. *swoon*

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

Absolutely unacceptable. R taylor shoud have been hauled off ages ago. We are all over the place now when one good sub would have stabalised the game

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

How was that not given to Wolves? Robbed to be fair.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

My fcuking nerves. Needlessly let wolves have so many oppertunities. It was their poor play that won us the game along with a dodgy couple of descisions from the ref.

Big improvement needed in ALL departments. Hopefully we see this as a wake up call!

That second half was a f'ing joke

My stream went dead a while ago but sounds like we were steeped by the posts here and what they were saying on Sky Sports. Will still gladly take the 3pts tho.

Disgraceful second half performance from us. Wolves can feel very much robbed of a point.

Shocking substitute in bringing Guthrie on. Midfield wasn't a problem for us it was Raylor at left back and surely Pardew has to see that he is really struggling.

McCarthys usual phlegmatic post game demeanour may be tested here.

They were robbed of a perfectly legitimate goal.

Just caught the last 10 mins lads, were we sh1te throughout and just got lucky with counter attacking goals or were we decent in the first half. Is this another lucky game for us where the opposition were woeful and made us look good?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,833 ✭✭✭NufcNavan

We were awful 2nd half. Didn't deserve all 3 points. In fact if Wolves had won 3-2 we still wouldn't have had much complaints.

Poor officiating got us the win in the end. Let's remember today the next time a major refereeing decision goes against us.

Fúck it, about time we got a bit of luck!

    3rd in the league :D

Paully_D shockingly quiet around this thread the last few weeks - wonder why eh? ;) :pac:

Deserved win, we should have had more than two in that game between Jonas & Ba's other attempts. Wolves' second should have had their second allowed too mind.
    Make yer own luck though!

Flying high, and the lads look comfortable together.

What a capture Yohan Cabaye turned out to be.!

Just watched the game there and I thought Krul was fantastic and I said he was your best goalkeeper a long while back.

Cabaye has been another great Graham Carr find (I suppose since he produced Alan Carr he's due some luck in life :pac:) and you have a great team spirit that seems to grow stronger whenever Ashley makes an unpopular (but usually correct in the long run) decision.

Shocking officiating today though, absolutely shocking and on another day Wolves would have won that. Still, you're getting wins even if you play poorly, just as we were doing at this stage last year, so that's a good sign.

I said at the start of the season you'd finish in the top 10 and that's definitely going to happen. Hopefully the luck runs out soon though ;)

Well we're at home to Spurs after the internationals so that's big enough. In late Nov/early Dec we've City, United and Chelsea all one after another so that'll probably be when the sh!t hits the fan! :pac:

Dont think anyone can deny that we got more than a few slices of good fortune today. I do however think we were the makers of our own downfall. We sat back at 2 nil and also left Ryan Taylor on the pitch. Wolves managed 28 shots today. The same amount of shots on target today as the preceding 6 games combined too. I hope Pards realises that sitting on a lead like that is not something we are capable off!

    Our next 5.

    Spurs (H)
    Wigan (H)
    Everton (H)
    Man City (A)
    Man United (A)

I reckon 7 points from the above is realistic.

Do you really have three home games in a row coming up? FFS, surely you have a horrendous second half to the season fixture wise?

7 points from that IMO, which would be a very good return. You'll remain unbeaten until the Manchester City game.

On another day we would have scored 2 or three more as well so it's a much of a muchness. Definite penalty, but we're due some luck.

Made a mistake with that Paully.

10 points out of these games would be fantastic, but in reality I think we'll end up with around 5 pts,any word on cabaye,is he ok for sunday??

Here's how I think we'll do in the next 5:

    Tottenham - Lose
    Wigan - Win
    Stoke - Draw
    Everton - Draw
    Manchester City - Lose

I share your sentiments on 5 points from these games which to be honest isn't too bad if we get these points.

As per Cabaye, I think I read that he's been in light training with the French squad from Lee Ryder's Twitter account.

Ba seems to be struggling with a knee problem. Good excuse to play Ben Arfa just in behind Best. Been looking forward to seeing HBA amongst the first team for ages now.

I'd be a bit wary in starting Santon for this game. Putting him up against Lennon for his debut may not be a wise thing to do.
