Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Sammy for Obertan
    HBA for Shola

Even after Shola part in that goal, still would sub him

  • Registered Users Posts: 303 ✭✭gav86

Get HBA and Sammy on now for Obertan and Ameobi maybe..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,853 ✭✭✭Cake Man

Good finish Ba, we're in with a chance of getting something here but we're still up against it

    Game over. Fúck ya Perch.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

we need a centre back, end of story

we have paid for sh1t defending. every goal a free header

  • Registered Users Posts: 980 ✭✭✭Seannew1

Ridiculous from Perch, man was going nowhere,it was all us and he gives away a needless foul which leads to a goal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

Shocking defending from set pieces. That's surely that now.

    Very good game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

We are plaing with 2 barely championship quality players here. Perch and Taylor have been awful. Obertan not much better. I'd rather have Abeid and sammy on the pitch than those clowns

    For you maybe,not for us!

Shít performance. Need a centre half badly and Tiote back ASAP.

Simmo and Ba have been the only positives I can think of really.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

That chelsea game was very very expensive

The reality is though playing Perch at cb could cost us 3 goals per game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

Head on Smith! Get a haircut son!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

    *sigh*

    Hopefully Colo's back next week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,723 ✭✭✭bazual

Down to 7th and a bit of a gap between us and Villa.

Colo and Smudge in the center next week and get Simpson and Raylor back in the normal positions. Hopefully Mr T will be back for the Swans too.

Lets just hope we get a Blackburn win tomorrow to make the weekend bearable.

Pardew, get your arse up to newcastle pull that lambias twat across the desk and plant him one.

James perch cover???? This is the premier league.

Ripped apart by simple crosses today. Simply shambolic defending

Surely Pardew has to know that Raylor is getting targeted for every game. He looked abysmal without Jonas helping him out on the right.

Simmo and Santon simply have to start the next game on either flank if Colo is available next week.

  • Registered Users Posts: 303 ✭✭gav86

Need a big lad at CB, Perch and Simpson arent 6ft, next week we shld play Simpson and Santon.. Major headache in midfield, hopefully Tiote is back, Cabaye was excellent today, at 3-1 down he was controlling the game.. Perch was shocking, Obertan like wise, good stint on the bench should wise these fellas up. Sammy from the start next week and HBA.. why was Ben Arfa not brought on when we were pressing for an equaliser!! Argh frustrating game!!

EDIT:if Colo is OK then def start him with Simpson and Santon LB..

Poor defending cost us as said, two unfamiliar lads at CB; as expected.
Knew Holt would grab a header or two, (if ye happened to read my latest article) :D

Not to worry though, we were impressive going forward: Ba, Ameobi and Cabaye all neat and tidy.
Wrong decision bringing Sammy on when Ben Arfa clearly the better option.
Inexperience from Gosling as well getting sent off.
They scored one great header, the rest very poor goals.
In fact, all extremely poor goals to concede.

Very impressed with Santon though, bright future ahead of him.

Hoolahan should be in that Irish squad!

I don't mind Grant Holt scoring against us because I do like a fat bloke getting on the score sheet.

Watched the game again and regardless of our defensive injuries and how sh*t perch and raylor are,3 of their goals were really soft yesterday,Ameobi lost Holt for their 2nd goal, alot was made of how perch and simpson are under 6 ft but for ameobi no excuses there, even though from an attacking perspective he had a decent game yesterday,3rd goal was just mistake after mistake and people running all over the place, the blame for the 4th goal ultimately lies with Perch, giving away a ridiculous and needless free kick when we were searching for the draw and then giving Holt a free header.Positives for me were the partnership between Ba and Ameobi,Cabaye was excellent yesterday and Santon from an attacking perspective.Negatives were Perch,Obertan and Gosling, the trio looked completely out of their depth yesterday,I don't want to be too harsh on Gosling because he hasn't been involved much with his injury etc but he needs to learn quick if he wants a regular place in the first team.

Anyway, game is in the past now and should be forgotten about,Swansea will be a tough game,no excuses though,I'll be expecting maximum points.
