Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Need a win today. Hoping to see Ben Arfa run riot.

Perchinio alongside Cabaye is a really smart move by Pardew. Is a lot better in that position than Anita at the moment.

Should be one up, Ba should have finished that. Great cross from Shola.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,723 ✭✭✭bazual

Get in Ba, ball didnt touch ground from Krul's kick until the back of the net.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,161 ✭✭✭BetterCallSaul

    Only a matter of time.

    Long benched?

    Rotation?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,161 ✭✭✭BetterCallSaul

The quality of the football here has been atrocious.

I want to pick up and shake about 5 or 6 players to wake them up. This is shocking.

    Robbed that!

    What a goal from Anita.

Noce snapshot alright.... Sammy played well as did shola! Tavernier and Colo looked a little unsteady too, im assuming Colo was taking it handy.....

Any chance of us (Forest) getting James Perch back? :D

Despite a couple of storming performances last year he has unfortunately taken up his position as weak link again this year. Liability in defence when selected...

    Has he been linked?

Nope! Sorry, i might have been a little bit sarcastic. I had heard good things about him this season...he seemed to be playing well at full back when he got his chance, no?

Two years on, and i'm still scratching my head at why Hughton thought he was worth £1m :)

So am I really, hes a poor-below average FB, a shocking center half and a mediocre DM... TBF 1 million is probably his worth now

I of course remembered you were a forest fan, still keep an eye out for your results! Are ye nicely poised for a second half push this year? Any chance of it?

    Got to majorly disagree here.

Perch has been solid as a rock since half way through last season!

If he hadn't gone off injured against Liverpool, I would have been pretty confident we would've won the game.
He has taken some amount of shite from NUFC fans throughout the last couple of seasons, but time and time again he has proven that he can do a very tidy job.

He's also easily fetch £3-4m in today's market. Wouldn't even consider it though - and clearly Pardew knows he has got something to offer.
A pivotal squad member to be honest.

Nah, we look clueless with Perch at CB. Opposition teams target him when hes at FB...

Pivotal? hes a cover player at best

Gutierrez in what looks like a central role again today :(

Better since we conceded.that should have been a penalty

Bit better. Painful first half to watch though.

Both teams have been dreadful, but as the home team, this performance is a joke.

We have not performed yet this season, worrying! Hopefully we can pull this one out of the bag. Created several chances once we pushed on. HBA looks on form, need to feed him. Also noticed that WHU can double of triple up on us. Our players not creating space for each other. Good movement will nullify their closing

Interesting stat, NUFC have not won after conceding the first goal under Pardew

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

    Horrible

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

symptomatic of our entire season. The other team gets a huge percentage of the breaking ball and we continuously give the ball away cheaply. We are not pressing the ball or committing enough players forward. How many times has it been one NUFC forward vs 4 WHU defenders

    Garbage

Disgraceful performance. Got out of jail against West Brom, not today against a very poor West Ham team.

Smug look on Allardyces face is truly sickening.

Got out of jail against Everton and Reading as well. Couldn't keep happening.

How Pardew can come out with quotes about challenging for the champions league with the way we have played in the first 11 games is beyond me.

Losing that game to a West Ham team that played very poorly is pathetic.

Quite right, luck ran out today.

We are being crippled by injuries though it has to be said.

That doesn't excuse the lack of urgency(2 players in the box with 5 mins to go ffs) or the downright dire final ball.

Must do better and were rightly booed off.

It's games like that, that I really miss SHEARER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dare I say we missed Perch today?
Anita was downright awful in CM.

Just one of those games. On to the next.

What I wouldn't give for Nolan to be still plaing with us and with Cisse's current form Carroll!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

That's very kneejerk, Nolan obviously had a point to prove today.

We were right to sell him when he did. No way should he have been given a 5 year contract that he wanted.

Put it this way,I wouldn't swap him for Cabaye. Cabaye brought us a coolness in our play, good passer, dictates midfield better than Nolan ever did for us etc etc but you can't ignore Nolan and his scoring record.

  • Registered Users Posts: 303 ✭✭gav86

I would take back Nolan as well, always seemed to get goals.

Reports saying Jonas is out for what could be 2 months. Squad getting thin looking now and team playing shocking..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

That bench is a bit... Mmm Uninspiring really. Hard to see who we can rely on for a game changing moment if we need it bar Shola.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

We'll get beat today, a team capable of keeping the ball is not what we need now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

looking shaky at the back but encouraging in MF

The problem with asking players like HBA to defend is sometimes they defend

    What was Willo at there?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

Need to have Shola on in place of Sammy, waste of time having him up front

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Sammy's been very quiet. Shola would be a better option for the second half.
