Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

To call tonight a 'must-win-game' is kinda stating the bleedin obvious, however i think from a table point of view it wouldnt be the end of the world to loose tonight(plenty games left) but from a confidence point of view...it will undo all the good work/mood from the last weeks transfers and a mentality of 'even with the new guys we couldnt beat the likes of villa' will set in which will hurt the team/fans/atmosphore at games severly

Not sure if what im trying to say makes sence :)

Can't say I agree. 3 points tonight is vital as I really don't see us picking up any against Chelsea or Spurs.

It would leave us needing another 20 points from 14 games and Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal, Man City and Liverpool still to play.

    We need a result tonight.

Just don't let them back in the game before halftime and give a silly goal away.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,723 ✭✭✭bazual

Is Perch actually playing? I really have not seen him much. Anita would do much more there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,723 ✭✭✭bazual

That was a welcome to England 50/50 there for Sissoko

I think he's doing well. Getting some tackles in and giving it simple, which is his job in that role.

Debuchy been excellent this first half.

To think Marv, Anita, Ben Arfa, Tiote and Mbiwa are not on the pitch.

We finally have a decent looking squad lads!

Hold your horses, we are playing Villa who are also putrid recently and its HT!

Early goal and the nerves kick in again!

Wow, I had forgotten Newcastle could play that well!!!

Although there has been some excellent individual performances, the overall team play, I've been hugely impressed with the patience and control in possession. Long balls have been cut dramatically and we looked very composed.

Hopefully now, the team can push on and finish a reeling Villa off. Can't afford to get defensive and let them back in like we did against Reading.

Hold my horses for what :pac::D

We do have a very healthy looking squad now.

I know this is far from over, I've no nails left watching it :)

Maybe just haven't been noticing him. The whole back 4 have been solid really. Impressed with Taylor and always thought the Taylor Colo partnership was a good one. Will be interesting to see if Mbiwa gets a game while those 2 are fit.

Gouffran has put in a good team shift, covering that left wing he has tracked back and put some good balls in and looks a handy player. Sissoko even with all the praise from the commentary team has been good at getting stuck in everywhere. Both look like bargains.

I thought we were better against Reading in the first half just had no quality like the Sissoko ball and a half fit Cabaye playing.
