have I ever told you all that I love you!

one of the proudest nights of my footballing life, heroes!

I always said Torres would score in the Champions League final and now he just might!

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,661 ✭✭✭Fuhrer

Was still a dive for that peno in my books :D

No one else agree with that?

Drogba wasnt even close to touching him from what I saw.

Fantastic, need some kind of drugs to calm down after that. Fuppin fantastic.

To see that makeshift team come from 2 down, with 10 men, away from home, against this Barcelona team, was absolutely un-f***ing-believable. So so happy with that result. I could watch the replays of the Ramires & Torres goals all day long.

Obvious downers, though, being the suspensions for the final.

    Fernando Torres <3

Congrats Chelsea. Hopefully ye go on to lift the CL trophy this year.

One other thing, I think Terry was very stupid and could have cost ye big time.
Do ye think it is time to hand the armband over to someone else?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,656 ✭✭✭cgpg5

Fair play tonight thought ye'd be blitzed in the second half. What a battling performance.

Now kindly lose the final so Newcastle can march on ;):D

    I haven't said it wasn't :D

Drogba was a lucky boy not to get a second yellow.
Lampard was lucky not to get a straight red in my opinion. (scissors tackle)

But in saying that they still deserved to go through.
I'm not knocking them, you need a little bit of luck.

Is it just Terry and Meireles that are suspended?

As a United fan I ain't no lover of Chelsea, but credit where credit is due.

Ye were super tonight. It's testament to say that Barca really never looked like they were going to score even if they did come close near the end.

    Yer defense was magnificent.

Cahill and Luiz might be fit, Essien isn't a bad option in midfield, best match this season and one of the best team performances iv ever seen, amazing congrats!

Don't know how many times I predicated Torres to score a vital goal, well it was worth the wait all is forgiven.
Still wasn't over confident till I saw it hit the back of the net tho.

Wow, Meireles is replaceable but the other 3 are big losses, particularly Ivanovic and Ramires.

Chelsea fan here don't post much around here.

Simply cannot put that match into words.

I think Gary Neville best summed it up as Torres rounded Valdes...

    Yes, just yes!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,236 ✭✭✭bullpost

So Mourinho still potentially has the power to deliver the CL to RA ;)

Great game - delighted for Torres in particular , but all heroes (well bar one!).

It was a terribly boring match, the 2nd half especially. Incredibly tense though.

My God, hard to believe this.

Give RDM the job, the organisation and determination from that team was immense.

    ****ing yes, get in

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,358 ✭✭✭kev1.3s

I thing the terry sending off benefited us, wonder if we would of won if he'd stayed on?

Not till the end of the season. Full respect to all the old guard have done for CFC. There's still the FA cup for JT to lead the team out to. But IMO that has to be it.

Cahill will step up next season.

That was class. I seriously didnt think Chelsea had a hope in hell once Terry went off. As a United fan I must say well done, brilliant fighting spirit to come back. Best of luck in the final.

Rami had such a sexy goal, messi-like tbh. Feel so terrible for him and Ivanovic, my two favorite players atm.

I'm sorry but it's much better than that! Barca are a much better team now and Man U back then were much better than we are now.

Amazing. Can't describe how happy I am.

  • Registered Users Posts: 645 ✭✭✭dagdha

As a Barca fan I'm f*ckin sick with the result but fair play to Chelsea and congrats lads on doing what ye had to do to get through.

I thought Barca have been poor the last few games but still ye stuck to your guns and got through.

You can have all the possesion in the world but it's not worth anything if ye don't do anything with it and Chelsea did what they had to do with what they had.

Oh and I blame JT for Barca going out, if he had of stayed on the pitch ye probably would'nt have put in such a shift helping each other out in defence :p:p

    Unbelievable stuff.

You couldn't have scripted that. Screamer from Ramires, but what a pass from Lampard. Out of this world!
...and the only thing better than Torres's goal was Gary Neville's reaction to it!
    Delighted for him!

How good was Drogba tonight? Mikel has to be the most improved player in Europe at the moment, and Ivanovic was brilliant as always.

The only downside was the red card. JT - hang your head in shame. Could've cost us bigtime tonight. Complete stupidity and to come out and claim he didn't mean it - who's he trying to fool?

We're serious underdogs in the final now without Ramires, Ivanovic, Terry and Meireles but with the luck we got tonight, I'm beginning to think that our name's on the trophy.

    Come on the Chels! :)

John Terry will probably watch the final round Christine Bleakley's house
