bubble problem

i had a problem today while glossing a door,i sanded ,primed and undercoated the other day, but as i was halfway through glossing today i noticed bubbles all over the paint work as it was drying? literally could pop them!! usually if it was a reaction from the varnish would it not be on the undercoat!!
