Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    £0,000,000 pounds.

be surprised if it was anything more.

Royston Drenthe is apparently on his way from Real Madrid too (on a free), confirmed by Guillem Ballague on SSN.

If it's true, he'll fit in nicely on the left wing. It means we've actually signed a winger with pace.

The league is ours to lose :D

    *Cue season-ending injury to Baines.

I said about 2 months ago that if Nasri and Fabregas go that Arteta would be snapped up.

Arteta Beckford and Yak going out and only an Argie forward and a dutch problem child coming in. Worrying times lads

Would sell Arteta for 10m only IF we had a replacement lined up

I can't see a deal for Arteta being reached. Arsenal have left it far too late, idiots.

Perfect timing for Bill Kenwright tho. "We had to sell as he wanted to leave but we'd no time to get anyone in" €10m to keep the bank happy

Anyone see that Arsenal fan on SSN? 'we'll use Benayoun as a way of saying to Everton if you dont accept our bid we will sign him instead'.....well **** off then and sign him!!!

I'd take Benayoun for 2/3m if we lost Arteta

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,957 ✭✭✭The Volt

    deal off!

Royston Drenthe now at Everton for talks...great signing if Moyes can handle his temperment

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,957 ✭✭✭The Volt

Beckford to Leicester City has happened. I'm sad to see him go. He scored one of the goals of the season last year. smashed another home at Anfield and with the right strike partner, he might have bettered the 10 goals he got last year.. Here's hoping Stracqualursi is the real deal.

Pulling my hair out over this, will be gutted to see him go. But after been give the glimmer of arsenal I couldnt blame him.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,494 ✭✭✭Columbia

Definitely can't blame him. It's absolutely shocking that a player like Arteta has never had an international career or Champions League run. He's 29 now and not many top clubs are going to look at him when he's 30 or 31. I'm sure he would have preferred do those things as an Everton player, but that ship has been inching away for the last few years.

Gutted nonetheless. A part of me will be happy if he does fail there.

Hopefully Arsenal buy the crock and not the best little spaniard we know. The last time they gave us big money was for Jeffers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,912 ✭✭✭Washout

10 million is a good a deal but the money isnt going in for players so its just so frustrating.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,534 ✭✭✭SickBoy

I have great time for Arteta and if this move goes through I will be sad to see him go but happy for him that he finally gets a chance to play in the champions league and perhaps get a few international caps.
    Sniffle...

    Pienaar £3m, Beckford £3-4m, Yakubu £1.5m, Arteta £10m.

That money will be gone into the big accounting black hole by January.

    Aaaaaaaaaaaaah. What is going on???

    The king aint impressed

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,957 ✭✭✭The Volt

This is only the start. You lot really think we'll let Fellaini run down his contract? He'll be gone in January.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,113 ✭✭✭Lumbo

    Worst transfer window ever?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,064 ✭✭✭✭eh i dunno

Have to sell Fellaini if he wont sign a new deal....I pity any Everton young lads who bought a new kit with Arteta or Beckford on the back :(

Could tolerate Arteta going if we even had a 5m replacement lined up.

No way, I remember when we sold Rooney and brought in some Championship midfielder called Cahill. He was from Australia! I know, I couldn't believe it either.

My girlfriend is calling me soon, she has no idea that the whinging and bitching will be the other way around tonight :pac:

Late bid for Nedum Onuoha now

  • Registered Users Posts: 258 ✭✭xxtattyberxx

According to SSN Arteta deal wont be happening **holds Breath**

As for Fellaini I for one wouldnt be to mushed to see him go, Ive never been overly impressed by him. Not saying hes bad or anything just never did to much to impress.

Delighted to see Yakubu go,horrified to see Beckford go, I think he has sooo much potential. Feel sorry for all the people who got their strips with Beckford on the back :(
