    While it doesn't look good at the moment perhaps in a few years there will be a golden generation say in the hurling or the football. However I agree with the OP that the soccer clubs in galway or in a dire state.
    On the other hand there are tremendous young up and coming sports stars that can drive the county on. I hear theres a young lad from moycullen by the name of thomas crean who is a very promising soccer player.
    OP is it bad organisation from the top that is hindering or sporting chances or is the talent just not there in your opinion.
    Perhaps the coaching at grass roots levels needs to be looked at

    well, GU are history now, but on the bright side, Connacht are doing okay at the moment and the hurlers beat Dublin well today!
