8.45 Newmarket Uptown Guy 5.4 €4.00 laid to win
Uptown Guy 2.16 €5.00 and laid tbp

Firmer than soft so shouldn't suit, loads of runners, 0 to 75, the 4 runner he won was a 0 to 70 off topweight.

8.55 Chepstow Picot de Say 5.3 €6.00 to win backed and tbp Picot de Say 2.18 €20.00

CD winner, likes cut in the ground, recent good from over shorter which wouldn't suit, 9 year old but better than these.

    1.45 Newmarket Paladin 7.6 €5.00 backed

Was 10.0 5 mins ago before I started making the breakfast

Has the debut made, came 5th in a class 5 here over today's trip on good to soft, beaten 5l when 4/1fav in a 15 runner race. There is a very decent chance that the going didn't suit that day and it wasn't a bad effort at all.

Burano, today's short priced fav came 2nd in that race at 25/1 making a very impressive debut, will he go as well on today's better ground? I don't know but the price is prohibitive.

    Burano 1.36 €5.00 laid tbp

7f does not suit Paladin me thinks.

    2.00 York Last Bid 5.2 €4.00 backed

Beat Kool Henry by a 1/4l lto when both running off 73, got a 4lb hike for that and Kool Henry got 2lbs. Last Bid is a 25% bigger priced today, I would have them JFs, regardless of that Last Bid should win this again.

2.15 Newmarket Classic Punch 2.5 €5.00 backed tbp

CD winner off 94 in a 0to95, then well beaten off 105 in a much better race next time out but that was on soft too. Recently 5th of 9 off 99 in a o to 100, back down to a 0 to 95 here off 95, the 0 to 95 he won he did so by 9l, that considered I can't see him winning this but I can see him being placed, I just don't fancy him 100% for whatever reason, theoretically he should win in my head.

2.25 Newcastle Marching On 1.23 €10.00 laid tbp

Hasn't been beaten by much length wise in two excursions to date, place price is really skinny though.

2.30 York Love Over Gold 9.6 €6.00 backed to win and tbp Love Over Gold 3.4 €4.00

I like the look of this one, 10 and 1/2f 0to90 on good but it looks a tad softer than that. Selection only beaten less than a length lto on GF in a much of a muchness race with this. Has decent form on softer than that and over a tad longer, looks right up it's street.

2.45 Newmarket Instance 2.06 €10.00 laid to win

    0 to 100 7f on Good.
The lay selection won a CD 0 to 100 off 83 lto on the same ground, up 8lbs for that 2 and 3/4 length victory from an 81 rated 2nd placed horse, seems a decent lash of weight to throw on a horse tbh. I find it strange they are lashing the money on too tbh, 6/4 would be skinny for me, anything around evens is sheer lunacy. 12 runners here and of the other 11 I have to see Folly Bridge as huge value in the place market

Folly Bridge 4.4 €5.00 backed tbp

    3.05 York Twice Over 3.7 €20.00 backed

As tipped by DailyNaps, seems almost without a rival to me if firing.

5.00 Newmarket Jacobs Son 5 €10.00 backed to win

The price unfortunately does reflect my view that this lad has a great chance here, 13f 0 to 80 HC, selection is rated 79. Up 2 lbs for a 0 to 85 14f 2nd place off 77, beaten 1 1/2 l by the 2/1 fav who was rated 82, headed in the last 100 yards or so. Selection has stamina for this 13f race and also has the required speed as displayed over shorter trips on a variety of surfaces.

Drifted a tad as I typed this muck but I can't see it going off much bigger than 5.0 on Betfair, 2.1 for the place is a tad tempting, I'll refrain from that for a while tbh though.

Jacobs Son 2.12 €20 to be placed, can't see him not being placed tbh.

Jacobs Son 6.4 €5.00 backed to win again, price is getting looney big now.

5.15 New Sharp Bullet 6.6 €10.00 backed to win and tbp Sharp Bullet 2.3 €5.00

0 to 60 5f HC on good to soft

Selection seems best with a bit of cut underfoot, very decent form in a 0 to 70 off 58 on GS, beaten home by horses rated 69 and 64, 7/2 fav and 6/1 shot respectively. That form puts him right to the forefront in my view, hasn't seen GS since

    5.40 Ascot Parlour Games 7.2 €10.00 and tbp Parlour Games 2.14 €10.00

12f doesn't seem to inconvenience, nor the current rating, I'm reckoning the GS will allow him to fire at 100% in this.
Aikan has from on soft too, but stepping up to 12f here and for the price he is I'd want him in a 0 to 80.
    Aiken 1.4 €20.0 laid tbp

5.50 Newcastle Reason To Believe 7.6 €10.00 backed
Best form to date is on GS, no attempts over 10f so far though.

    6.15 Lingfield Mohanad 3.05 €30.00

HAs yet to win on the flat, but looks a well rated and well positioned horse in this race.

    8.10 Salisbury Sunny Future 9.4 €6.00 backed to win & Sunny Future 2.76 €4.00

14f good to firm 0 to 75 HC

    Selections Course and distance form........

    26Jun11 Sal 14GF C4Hc 4K 8-9 5/9 (5L Sherman McCoy 9-2) 11/2 Luke Morris 73
    0 to 85, selection finished 5th off 73, those ahead rated 80,86,78 and 79.

    19May11 Sal 14GF C4Hc 4K 8-9 2/10 (hd Captain John Nixon 9-7) 40/1 Luke Morris 71
    0 to 85 selection finished 2nd off 71, winner was rated 83.

Running off 73 today and the topweight doesn't look a contender. Selection is running off a proven mark, trip, ground and course all shouldn't pose a problem.

    8.25 Lingfield Kipchak 10.5 €6.00 backed to win and tbp 2.7 €4.00

    7f 0-65 HC on good

Connections lash this lad out over a variety of trips, 7/8f seems optimal in fairness.........

    CD form from June...
    Lin 7Fm C5Hc 2K 7-13 2/11 (½L Kakapuka 9-4) b1 4/1 Sophie Silvester
Running off a mar of 60 was only beaten 1/2l by the 72 rated winner, nothing wrong with that form.

Hit and miss since but easing down the weights accordingly and now 62 in this.

    Fitz 2.3 €5.00 laid tbp

If this was on the AW I wouldn't lay it based on the recent Kempton form but here on turf It doesn't appeal.

    8.40 Sal Uppercut 5.4 €10.00 backed

Rated ok, 8f is a stretch so 7f should be ideal as shown in maiden company. Couldn't fancy the fav as it's been beaten by several horses rated much lower on more than one occasion.

Local Singer 1.43 €10.00 laid tbp

2.05 Pon Gabrial The King 4.3 €4.00 laid to win and laid tbp 1.64 €4.00

Nothing profound here, eight 2yos making their debut.

Ooops, wrong comment from the notes there lads, the selection was making it's debut.

2.15 Ascot Blue Tiger 2.48 €4.00 laid to win and tbp Blue Tiger 1.32 €4.00 even though 3 of the 7 are placed on Betfair

    ............ 7 debutants.
