last try at 7f resulted in a decent 2nd, a surprise considering previous 7f from, still, 'tis in the book now and the price is juicy so I'm on.

4.45 epsom the Mongoose layed to be placed, 20 at 1.72. tried at the trip, expected to come on for the experience, a tad short for me really.

5 muss valley of hope, layed tbp, 20 at 2.08, can't see the reasoning for this one being in the reckoning.

AW debut for this one, also 8f debut, topweight off 65 in a fairly tight affair, didn't finish out any of the 3 previous attempts overly convincingly, step up in trip may well not suit, only placed once in those 3 races.

8.10 Kempton The Name Is Frank 2.96 €7.50 layed tbp

Has a CD 2nd lto in the formbook, that was in a 0 to 65, this is a 0 to 60 and The Name Is Frank tackles this off the same mark of 57, however the horse that beat him that day was rated 51, The Name Is Frank was onepaced the last 100 yards after being headed. Happy to lay at the skimpy place odds, I think I'd want 3.5 to be tempted to back it.

8.10 Kempton Cut The Cackle 9.2 €6.0 backed tbp & Cut The Cackle 42 €4.00 to win.

Grand juicy price for this one, won a 0 to 70 7f here off 55, led 1f out that day, that was an apprentice race though so not 100% concrete form but 'tis still in the book. Price is huge, 6f around here in a 0 to 60 off a low mark may well be ideal. Well worth it at the odds I think.

8.40 Kempton bit of a speel while the mood takes me.

Hard to get away from the current fav, Pogsy, rated 83, won a CD 0 to 85 HC off 79, shows he has the class to take this.

Scamperdale, has form to rival Pogsy but at 9 is fully exposed, won a good Lingfield HC over this trip in February so is not declining yet though.

Of those lower rated, Negotiation catches the eye, rated 63 so has loads to find on the ratings but decent form at Kempton over 10f trip in a 0 to 75 HC, that was before Christmas though, place price isn't quite chunky enough for me at 8.0 ish, over 11.0 and I'd be tempted.

Fallon's mount, Raucous Behaviour looks generously priced at 9.6, on the ratings it catches the eye, turf form over 10/12 f is poor but goes well on the AW so could well run into a place.

Foxhaven looks the most underpriced in the race, poor from at Kempton and the guts of a stone to find with the higher rated market leaders who have AW form, as discussed above. The place price for Foxhaven is 2.8 to lay which seems tempting, I'll have some of that as I don't think on favourable terms it would have a chance on the surface so with the ratings suggesting it has it to do that's a lay for me...

Barney is an absolute legend and I must say I'd have huge respect for him and his views on betting and racing.

But back to Savaronola, doesn't quite seem to like it here or at Lingfield, has a W'ton win over 12f in the book, as ye know though I reckon W'ton and here are Worlds apart, I wouldn't transfer a liking for one as an indication of a chance at the other.

The three market leaders all have shown decent form here, in proximity to the winner rather than winning but closeness to a winner in lengths is the sort of thing I look at.

Also, Sir Randolf has shown the surface doesn't inconvenience.

Winner wise, I can't see Fifty Cents being overly comfy with 11f, I reckon Reggie Pern will relish it off favourble terms as a 3yo...

A 7f 0 to 85 12 runner HC, Little Curtsey is rated 78, 3lbs higher than when finishing 8 of 11 around here over 6f in a 0 to 80 when 7/2fav. Lto was much better but that was on turf, admittedly over today's trip. Has a CD maiden win in the book but I can't help thinking a 0 to 85 off 78 is a tall order for this 3yo, the price for the place is very skimpy.

A run around here could well put some spring into the topweight's step, Rules'nRegulations has slipped to a very low mark and off topweight has to have a chance greater than the price suggests. The last turf run wasn't bad and Rules'nRegulations has some decent AW form at Lingfield over 7f in a better race than this...

Up 1lb to 78 after a CD second in a 0 to 80, beaten a length and a half by a horse rated 76. Previous CD form was mediocre, 5th of 10 in a 0 to 75 off topweight, beaten 4 1/2 lengths. I'd be surprised if Ongoodfrom featured in this 0 to 85 contest tonight.

Divine Call looks like great value, won a 0 to 80 CD HC off 78, staying on well that day, up to 83 for this but 2 from 3 on the AW and 7f seems the trip, only a 4yo so entitled to improvement and the win price looks far too big, I'll have a saver on the place market too.

As usual, I may well be wrong, but this looks like a Christmas present, a 27f race and this one is untried at that, has a woeful 25f effort in the book (admittedly a class 1 from Aintree but still) and has been running on the flat recently.

Can't fathom the price to be honest.

The topweight isn't featuring really in the betting (considering market leaders) so a great chance and a good price for Oneladyowner to run into a place.
