FIngers crossed I can keep progressing. With the lays I just try and find yokes that have it to do off their current mark going off past performances. In handicaps a few are generally on the up or at least at a mark they previously ran well off. The focus on the place market is purely as there is less fat in it compared to industry prices, the win market is ideal for backing though.

In fairness it fits in with my modus of selection and the place price isn't too bad in comparison to the win price.

Spanish Plume tackles this 9 1/2f 0 to 75 HC off 74, just did enough to win a 10f 0 to 75 off 70 at Chester, two runs since haven't been great. Has run twice over CD in maidens, never getting involved, ran well on 3rd start which was on turf, reasonable to think the AW may not be this ones thing, W'ton anyway

Woeful race, this one looks very dis proportionally priced relative to ability, never placed in 7 starts, didn't seem to relish the AW at Lingfield either.

Grand 2nd off 93 lto at Goodwood in a 0 to 95, this is harder though and off the same mark I don't see him getting involved in this.

Not great in past runs over this trip, admittedly in better races but has been beaten home by mediocre yokes, very hard to fancy this one.

Goes well fresh and this is the seasonal debut, however when not in form is woeful and despite a CD win off a similar mark this time last year I think the place odds don't represent value considering how woeful this one can be.

AW debut for this 3yo, trip in within range though in fairness to it.

I'll update with the financial side of things in a while. Pulled up when last seen, fairly unexposed as a HC chaser but I think this is too classy for this one, has gone well fresh in the past but I don't see a proven jumping track record to inspire confidence here, hard to verbalise really but there you go.

Looks to have work cut out in this 0 to 95 off 69, recent form is woeful, admittedly anything (as with any race but more so in these races I reckon) can happen in a conditional jockeys race but it's very hard to see this one featuring, I reckon the place price will be bigger at the off too so happy to lay at what's available.
