Horses......... lots of lays

Me again, took a day off yesterday, went to the bookies with the ole lad :pac:

This lad is stepped up a furlong after his 5f debut, could be anything but I don't like to see horses switched up in trip straight away unless they have run well. In saying I don't like to see, I mean I wouldn't back them, so it's a lay to be placed at short odds with loads of unknowns in the field

Ok, so this is a class 4 0 - 85 hc on GF, this lad came 2nd in a 5f class 2 0 - 100 off 87 last June, then came out and ran a poor race in another class 2 next time out. That form does put him right up there in this though and a very decent price to boot, placed 5 times from 12 runs on turf too (inlcuding two wins) fingers crossed.

Up in trip by 2 furlong here, don't like that. Especially considering She's Got the Luck stays the trip.

7.40 Southwell Master Of Song 3.25 €6.00 laid.

I like the AW, Kempton and Lingfield I find decent for picking winners, Wol and Southwell not so (and Dundalk not a hope). This is an 8f 0 to 60 HC, the selected lay also the fav came 2nd lto here over the same distance in a 0 to 55 off 52, he was however 3l back. Previously in a 0 to 60 he came a neck 2nd but that was off 46. So not breathtaking form really, this is a 0 to 60 and there should be something in the field to get home ahead of him. In saying that he has course form but I wouldn't back him in a fit at the price he is.

Apologies for this one as it's looney short, but only 7 runners and 3 tbp on the machine. Bottom of the Handicap but he stays (most of these don't) and he jumped well lto over the obstacles (f knows how many of the rest will fair) so it's not a bad odds on bet, if such a thing exists :pac:

I feel a tad dirty after backing that last one tbp :pac:

Anyway, I like this one, ran a decent race at Kempton over a mile and I reckon Southwell suits this one better.

Fav to0 big to lay even though I don't fancy him, this lad has tumbled down the weights and is not in bad form.

8.40 Southwell Bonnie Prince Blue 7.1 €4.00 to be placed.

Proven over Course and distance and not rated at too high a mark, can't understand the price being so big.

As I don't like Southwell and have a poor record backing winners here only a small win stake on it...........

Took the the AW very pleasingly last time out with a debut AW win in a 0 to 75 HC here over the same trip as today, running here off the same rating effectively but this is a 0 to 80 with plenty of other capable Kempton 6f runners in opposition, very short price in this better company.

7.20 Kempton Dominium 4.6 €5.0 backed to be placed.

6f HC debut here but has won a 6f race here before, form suggests shorter trips suit this one better than the 7f excursions so a decent price to be placed me thinks.

Win price is looney big so a small bit on that

Decent NH debut lto but some good sorts in this race and a very unattractive place price, value lay.

7.50 Kempton Kavaloti 8.8 €4.00 backed

I like this one, won a 0 to 85 here over this trip off 76 in April 09 immediately after a CD win off 72 in a 0 to 75. Today's race is a 0 to 75 and Kavaloti us running off 70 and in good form of late too............

^^^ would have preferred if he kept him on the rail, rail is a fairly great place to be at Kempton as it opens up, ah well.

Looney short place price, rating of 85 is plenty for this lad, trip suits and goes well on the turf and the AW, laid due to the rating in this very competitive 0-90 class 3 handicap.

4.10 Newmarket Thimaar 1.75 €4.00 laid

Smelly maiden race, if lto's performance isn't improved upon drastically this one will be beaten fav again. Mad short price in fairness to it.

4.10 York Firebeam 3.35 €4.0 laid

Decent 3 runs so far but one would like to think a HC debudant running off 85 in a 0 to 95 HC is not a 2/1 / 5/2 shot.

And to be placed Rigolleto 3.8 €5.00, I like this one, 3 1/2 length 3rd off 92 over 7f a few runs back, off 87 today after 4 excursions in class 2 company over 8f

Beaten 2l 4th lto, not raised, I think this lad has solid credentials here if it runs to form.

4.55 York Charlie Cool 3.6 €5.00 backed

Take the fav out and this lad is the best on the ratings, look at the Extraterrestrial 9f form and Charlie Cool looks very appealing.

Nasty little race for laying purposes in both win and place markets, I like this Dr Wintringham, goes on any ground and has won over CD, a value bet me thinks.

In good from of late, trip and ground to suit, not badly HCed as he has finished quite close to the winners of the races it's been placed in, good place bet.
